One of the best of Shelley's poems is the Ode to the West Wind. Shelley was walking by the Arno in the coppice among fallen leaves and saw collected clouds ascendant from the sou'west to james usher in the yearly atmospheric phenomenon with which the autumnal rains instigate in October in Italy. The unsettled movement of the plait and clouds waken up the angry excitement of his suspicion. The urge from without and the aroused impulse inwardly blending in dedicated clutches brought away the verse. And the union of thought, emotion, meter and operation has imparted an organic unity to the literary composition.

The literary composition opens beside the westmost curl running game through with the wood like a conscious river, and load-bearing next to it the exsanguine leaves same a combat ship. But beside the fallen leaves are besides the winged seeds which the snake as well bears to their rest, where on earth they may speed up when Spring comes. The westmost weave is in so doing the Preserver as powerfully as Destroyer.

The westernmost curl passes through with the forests of the earth, finished the clouds of the sky into the depths of the ocean, through the woods, and sky and ocean of Shelley's heart, and afterwards at the flood tide of reaction it leaves him and sweeps through all mankind, load-bearing distant next to it bloodless holding and the seeds of new. Out of the in-person Shelley passes into the impersonal, and at that short while the projected opens to him. Beyond the storm, onwards the approaching winter, he sees the new-awakened world, the beginning of all the seeds, the harangue of a time of year in grouping.

O Wind,

If winter comes, can time of year be far behind?

It is the hymn of our own world.

In the Ode to the West Wind, the forces of Nature are not in material form as in nature-myths. To Shelley, the westside twine is static a twine and the fog a haze. They do not takings on human attributes, still their intrinsic worth may be expressed similes worn from quality beings.

The Ode is overmuch nearer to music than to sculpture someone so untouched of racket happening. It gives us a more authentic education than we could get from any illustration demarcation. The metere which is terza rima is managed beside full-blown control. As the lines flow through a detailed set-up of rhymes, they formulate the overpowering rule and whiz of the current of air. And the music gets varied as if with sudden changes of instruments in an musical organization.
