これを読んだ方でまだ子供に「クリスマス」プレゼントをしていない方、
２５日を過ぎるまでは贈るのをやめてそのプレゼントは誕生日などに回して下さい

実は今日、「クリスマス(Chirstmas)」という言葉の意味について、パートナーといろいろ話して調べてみました。
カトリック信者でない日本人は「クリスマス」という言葉自体使わない方がいいと思います。
特に「マス(mas, Mass)」は大変なくせものです。無意識に使うとキリスト教の呪縛にとらわれることになります。これについては明日にでも記事を書こうと思います。

精神的指導者がラエリアン・ムーブメントの「サンタは存在しない」運動を強化
１２月２１日ラスベガス
この慌しいクリスマス・ショッピングの週に向けて、ラエリアン・ムーブメントの「サンタは存在しない」運動が本日強化されました。
精神的指導者ラエルは、「多国籍企業の利益を増やす目的のためだけに考案され促進される伝統のために、お金を使うのをやめましょう」と一般の人々に求める声明を発表しました。
「存在しないサンタに関する嘘を子どもにつくのはやめてください」とラエルは言います。
「嘘に基づく伝統を守るために、お金を無駄に使うのをやめてください。クリスマスプレゼントは一切与えないでください！愛する人に贈り物を贈る機会は、たくさんあります。政府や宗教、産業界によって促進され、狂ったように大量消費が行われ、精神的内容が全くない、この集団的祝日の間に贈ることはありません」
ラエルは、ラエリアンの親達に、クリスマスプレゼントを子どもに与える代わりに平和と愛について教え、プレゼントを贈りたいなら別な日にするように求めます。
「私は、クリスマスの１ヶ月前にプレゼントを贈ることをお勧めします。ラエリアンの子供たちは他の子よりも先にプレゼントをもらうことになり、他の子たちは皆うらやましがるでしょう」とラエルは説明します。「ラエリアンの子供たちは、友達にサンタクロースが存在しないことを伝え、その親達にこの愚かな伝統を続けさせないよう圧力をかけるべきです」
「人々はこれらの例年行事を元来のものに戻し、キリスト教以前の陽気な思考を取り入れるためにあらゆる手段を尽くすべきです。最も重要なのは、この日の祝日を、神が納屋で生まれたとか、神秘的なサンタクロースや、ファザークリスマスと関連づける、あらゆる神秘主義を取り除くことです」と、ラエルは２００８年に「サンタは存在しない」運動を始めたときに言いました。
イエスのことを想い、またはラエルの受胎日を記念して１２月２５日に精神的なお祝いをするのは良いことですが、私たちが今週目にしている商業的騒ぎは良いことではありません、とラエルは本日の声明でさらに言いました。

Rael: 'Stop giving Christmas gifts!' - Spiritual leader reinforces Raelian Movement's 'There-Is-No-Santa' campaign
LAS VEGAS, Dec. 21 - The Raelian Movement's 'There is No Santa' campaign was reinforced today for this hectic Christmas shopping week when Rael, the Movement's spiritual leader, issued a statement asking the public to "stop spending money for a tradition that is pure invention and promoted by multinational companies to make more profits."
Stop lying to your children about a Santa Claus that doesn't exist," Rael said, "and stop wasting money to respect a tradition that is based on a lie. Don't give any Christmas gifts! You have plenty of occasions to give gifts to people you love without doing it during this collective mass celebration of crazy consumerism that is promoted by governments, religion and industries but has absolutely no spiritual content."
Rael asked Raelian parents to teach their children about peace and love instead of giving them Christmas presents, and to give them gifts at another date if they wish.
"I recommend giving these gifts one month before Christmas, so that Raelian children receive their gifts before all others, which will make all other children jealous," Rael explained. "And they should also inform their friends that there is no Santa Claus and push them to put pressure on their parents not to continue this stupid tradition."
"People should do all they can to bring these annual festivitiesback to their origins by adopting the pre-Christian, fun-loving mindset and, most importantly, removing all mysticism, whether it's related to the birth of a god in a barn or to the mysterious Santa Claus or Father Christmas," Rael said when he launched the 'There is no Santa' campaign in 2008.
In today's statement, he added that a spiritual celebration in memory of Jesus or of Rael's conception day on Dec. 25 is a good thing, but that the commercial orgy we are witnessing this week is not.
