Anna Nalickとコンタクトを取りましたという個人的なお話

いや、そんな大層なものじゃないのですが、私にとっては大きな出来事でした。

Anna Nalick(アンナ・ナリック)のWreck of the Dayが発売され19年です。4月20日、私は彼女におめでとうのDMを送りました。そしたらなんと、”Thank you”と返事が来たのです。そこですかさず、私はずっと(送り先不明で)送れなかったファンレターをメッセージで送りました。するとなんと彼女は更に返事をくれ、ちょっとした会話をDMでしてくれたのです。

以下彼女とのやり取りの大まかなものになります。彼女、なんと初来日のツアーのことも明確に覚えていたんですよ…本当に、本当に幸せに思います。

You are so wise to say that it is important to feel people. Sometimes the people who smile and laugh the loudest are struggling the most. I try to remember this all the time.

I don’t remember the names of the venues but I know we took the train to major cities and we were there for one month. I have a jacket I love from a little store in Harajuku. It is silk and reversible with a skeleton in a boat. Turquoise on the inside and gold on the outside. My band was jealous. 😉 It was a very special trip. Such a beautiful country. We felt welcomed and we had fun.

と、ライブの話から来日時に出会ったジャケットのお話までしてくれました…ツアーをこれからまたやる時には本当に、本当に来日を考えてくれるんじゃないかという気がして…やりとりをしながら私はほとんど泣いておりました。和訳のことも彼女にしてみればもちろん些細なことですが、私は彼女の歌詞を読んで沢山訳してみたい！と思ってきたのでとても、とても大きな意味のある言葉でした。
