ボチボチと英語の方は進んでいますが先日 書いたように、Colocationを意識して、使える英語の強化をしたいと思います。当面は、過去に使った教材を少しづつ復習することにします。当面は、「英語で意見を論理的に述べる技術とトレーニング」（ベレ出版）を使います。
(1) shift from...to...
The growing shift from the seniority system to the performance-based pay system...
上の本では、上記のような用法で用いられていましたが、これは（何度か）口ずさんでそっくり覚えてしまう価値のある言い回しです。 他にも、"the shift from indirect financing to direct financing"とか、"the shift from direct taxes to indirect taxes"などのような形で使えます。
(2) loyalty to, affection for
次はコロケーションです。本の中では、"Declining loyalty to companies", "Strong affection for their children"という言い回しでした。
(3) Put their personal life before their work
仕事よりプライベート（私生活）を重視するというのを、put beforeという句動詞を使って表現しています。
自分的には、prioritizeを使って、"prioritize their personal life over their work"などと表現したくもなりますが、句動詞を使った方が平易ですね。
