Today, I'd like to write my objective of learning English.
To be honest, I don’t like English so much. I don’t excel in foreign languages, and have no intention of learning foreign languages other than English. Accordingly, my approach to English is a little different from the approach of those who love English. If I liked English very much, I could improve my English more easily. As the proverb goes, "We tend to be good at those things we like".
Actually, I have been learning English out of necessity-information gathering. In my field, there is vast volume of information, so I am not able to rely on only Japanese information. To collect useful information, English is a must for me.
On the other hand, communication in English is also very important. When it comes to English communication, I am not up to snuff. I sometimes feel irritated that I can not fully express my opinion on site. My goal is to reach the stage of making a communication in my area in English as well as Japanese. The goal seems to be too far, however, I'll try.
