Subject: New World Games

Dear Gene,

I received an e-mail this morning from Vanderlay Bus Lines. It indicated that they would be unable to supply enough vehicles and drivers to meet our needs during the New World Games in San Francisco.

Of course, the most pressing issue(最も差し迫った課題=緊急) is finding another bus company that can handle the unassigned portion of the work. Accordingly(それを受けて), the group tour section is already busily contacting other transport companies and making the necessary reservations. I will get an update on the situation from Jim by noon today. If they are unable to find one locally(近くで), we will be forced to rely on smaller regional companies or even rival firms.

I think that we are depending too heavily(強く依存しすぎた) on a select few companies. I propose that we seek partnership with additional suppliers, not only bus and limousine companies, but also hotels, restaurants and even golf courses.
