今日はニュージャージー州はブランチブルックパークへ花見に行って来ました。
4000本くらい桜があるとか。
曇りで少し残念でしたが桜は綺麗でした。
かなり残念だったのが、
枝を揺らして人工的に花びらを落とそうとする人がたくさんいたことです。
子どもたちも真似して小さい桜の幹ごと揺らしていたりしました。
少し考えたら木が傷む事くらい分かるのに、
モラルがないアメリカ人にがっかりしました。
大人たちには呆れて何も言えませんでしたが、
せめて子どもたちにはちゃんと駄目だよって教えてあげればよかったと後悔しています。
日本では一度も見たことがない光景だったのでビックリしました。
風を待てば花びらは落ちてくるのに待てないアメリカ人、
自分で枝を揺らしてもポーズを取ろうとしている間に花びらが地面についてしまうことを理解出来ずに何回も枝を揺らしはポーズするアメリカ人、
小枝を折ってしまうアメリカ人、
もっと桜の木の気持ちを考えてね！
Americans are KILLING Cherry Blossoms
Today I went to the Branch Brook Park in New Jersey,
and I was very surprised to see that so many people were pulling and shaking cherry blossoms’ branches to take pictures with the falling petals.
At first I saw kids doing it and then I saw many adults around them doing it.
Of course kids would think it’s okay to do it because the adults are doing it too.
I was very shocked and lost my words, it just made me very sad.
I’ve never seen this in Japan at all.
In Japan, people enjoy watching cherry blossoms as it is.
Japanese people would wait the natural moment of the petals falling and take pictures.
I’m not sure if people do it such thing in other parks in the U.S., but I was very disappointed by the scene that American people I saw in the park today were killing cherry blossoms.(They didn’t cut the trees, but even pulling and shaking branches seemed killing the trees to me.)
