今日はアメリカの共和党と民主党に次ぐ規模の第三党であるリバタリアン党についてです。

Libertarian Party is one of the biggest party in US next to democratic and republican.
It has about 700,000 registered voters.
It upholds the libertarianism, a small government and laissez-faire.
Libertarianism is a political philosophy that emphasizes both personal and economic freedom.
In the presidential election in 2016, it got about 5 million votes, 3% of votes.
Policy
Only actions that infringe person's property rights can be called crimes.
It claims that no tax-financed subsidiaries, restrictions about firearms should be allowed. It also opposes to the regulations such as producing, selling, possessing, or using drugs, drinking or selling any alcohol or tobacco, minimum age restrictions, discriminatory behavior, polygamy, pedophilia and so on.
The 1972 party platform argued that government taxation was theft and a violation of property rights.(it changed a bit now though)
