around 6 years and I've always believed that if I just climb I will steadily progress, even in the absence of a specific training schedule.Right now I boulder around 2-3 times a week for about an hour. Nothing specific,UK Nike Air Max 2013 Men Black Blue, just start with a warm up and see how far I get - currently that's around V4 or sometimes the odd V5.I have started to mix up some routes recently, I onsight around the 6c or 6c+ mark and can probably redpoint a little harder than that.Ideally I would like to see an increase in grades there to getting up to climbing up to V5/V6 on a regular basis. My ultimate climbing goal has always been to climb outside better but I have found I have stalled at around the 5.8/9 (VS/HVS) mark mainly because of being scared but also because I find gym climbing doesn't set you up very well for the kind of outdoor climbing I do, which is mainly crack and slab (I live near Squamish, BC).So please help me come up with a training schedule!I have a hangboard but haven't really gotten into it, I did a few hangs and they were pretty hard,Nike Air Max 2014 Blue Orange Black Green, I think finger strength is keeping me back a lot of the time with bouldering. For outdoor progression,Nike Air Max 2013 White Black, maybe fall practise? Books about the mental game?Any help appreciated!... not showing 6 replies to this topic ...Register as a New User or login to gain full access to the forums. I have been climbing quite well this summer, and really consolidated leading HVS and ready to move up to E1 - although the dark nights and weather is quickly diminishing this possibility. On Saturday I went to Limekilns (to those who know it) and felt motivated for leading the HVS routes here which I haven't done yet,UK Nike Air Max 2011 Men Grey Black Red, having done all the VSs the last time I was here. To my suprise I had a real struggle on the VSs - had what felt like absolutely no strength in my arms at all. I couldn't even mantleshelf onto a small ledge. I hadn't been out drinking the night before or fatigued myself at the gym or anything and I didn't feel like I was coming down with anything. Well slept, fed although my pee was pretty dark showing dehydration although I got myself hydrated as the day went on. A couple of other chaps climbing near by were trying to suggest other venues where the "climbing is easier" which was like a complete demotivational kick in the baws and made me feel like a right bumbly even though I climb much better than that.Any reason why? Anyone had a day like this? Felt like a right step backwards.... not showing 13 replies to this topic ...Register as a New User or login to gain full access to the forums.
