up a groove, I attacked a very obvious layback crack directly. I got up it eventually but only with multiple cam placements, a lot of swearing and a knee to get onto the ledge. It was definitely a relief to learn that it was outside of Severe territory.The topo in the guidebook suggests it's part of the Micah Eliminate, but the route description for the eliminate makes no mention of it. If anyone has seen/climbed this crack, where would you grade this section? I found a picture of my Dad climbing out of Zermatt over 50 years ago, I've been trying to establish where exactly it was taken. I'm hopeful someone will be able to identify the mountain profile in the background. I plan to recreate the picture if I can work out exactly where he was.I'm sure the UKC network is up to the challenge!! I got back from Snowdonia last night after attempting Crib Goch on Wednesday, and Tryfan north ridge on Thursday. Didn't manage either.
