Seems like a stupid question but has anyone had issues with the dmm renegade 2 putting holes in t-shirts. Seems like every climbing session I have a new hole. Selling my Petzl Quark's as I have a set of Nomic's and don't need them both!They are the new style Quark with the 'trigger finger' upper rest. They have been used for 2 winter seasons and 2 trips to the alps and are in fairly good condition. The shafts in particular are in good condition as they have usually been completely covered with grip-tape. Although there is a few dents on the shaft of one axe, where it was hammered for a buried axe belay but it is purely cosmetic.Picks have plenty of life in them as well,Supra Skytop 2 High Tops Black Yellow Red, I sharpened them up for this season and removed the first tooth for better clearance when climbing. Set the alarm early (well, half seven...) and went for a quick look at the NE Face/Coire of Sron na Isean on Ben Cruachan this morning. Was up there last winter for a poke about and ended up unintentionally watching a cracking sunset from the top of Stob Diamh after things took longer than we expected in deep and difficult conditions.Brisk walk in on firm ground,2011 Supra Skytop Red White, lots of water ice and solid turf lumps about. Went for a turfy/icy/rocky line up the skyline ridge you see on the walk in. Not a lot of snow in general, but what was there was getting pretty useful. Turf had frozen up well overnight too.
