MONTREAL (AP) - Colby Armstrong is joining the Montreal Canadiens after the Toronto Maple Leafs bought out the final year of his contract.The veteran forward signed a $1 million, one-year deal with the Habs on Sunday.Armstrong's two seasons in Toronto were hampered by injuries. The 29-year-old appeared in just 29 games last season, scoring one goal and three points.Armstrong has a past history with Canadiens coach Michel Therrien.He'll earn a total of $2 million next season - half paid by Montreal, half paid by Toronto.
The San Jose Sharks agreed to terms with free-agent forward Adam Burish on a four-year contract worth a reported $1.8 million per season.Burish, who won a Stanley Cup as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010, spent the past two seasons with the Dallas Stars. He is coming off a career year statistically with six goals and a personal-best 19 points in 65 games.A ninth-round pick in the 2002 NHL Draft, Burish is known more for his ability to get under opponents' skin. He averages more than a penalty minute per game and as a rookie in 2007-08 had 214 PIMs in 81 games.Burish has ties with Sharks forward Joe Pavelski. PHILADELPHIA - The Flyers re-signed free-agent goaltender Michael Leighton on Sunday, the first day of NHL free agency.Leighton, 31, spent most of last season in the AHL, but could be a backup to Flyers starter Ilya Bryzgalov this season. Philadelphia's No. 2 last season, Sergei Bobrovsky,Ray Ban Jackie Ohh Sunglasses, was dealt to Columbus during the NHL draft last month.Originally acquired by the Flyers in December 2009,RayBan Nerd Glasses Aviator 4125, Leighton has spent part of the last three seasons with Philadelphia.
