The Blackhawks assigned Karlsson to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.He appeared in 26 games with the Flames over the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons, posting a 5-9-8 record with a 2.79 goals-against average and a .905 save percentage.The Blackhawks had acquired that seventh-round pick from the Ottawa Senators for Rob Klinkhammer on Dec. 2, 2011.
