One Rainy day
I leaned back, crossed my arms and sighed as a sign that i wanted to go home already. '' Guess he did not get it ''. I whispered. "What?" He asked. "Nothing" i replied.
"We wahhh. We're soaked." We hopped and skipped through the rain and found shelter just across a shrine nearby.
"It's to get back back to work. Let's have some more father and son time on another day." He said. Sorrow and concern written on his face as he gently patted my head.
"Well, i guess that can not be helped." I calmly answered.
"It's okay dad. You can go. I added go home by myself." I added; looking at the gray sky.
"I can take you home subaru. You'll get wet a--" he was cut off by a ring from his phone.
"Tsk." He clicked his tongue while looking at his phone.
"I'm not sure it's okay. That's urgent and I feel like walking. I smiled and scratched the back of my head.
"Okay then. Thank you for understanding and I'm sorry." He hugged me but I did not feel like like hugging back. I just smiled.
I rand his car waving. I nodded my head in return.
"Call me when you get there." He shouted and gestured his hands.
"I'll be fine. Go ahead." I chuckled. He then got in his car and drove away.
I said sarcastically. "Well, so much for a great day."
I covered my head through the hoodie of my jacket and whispered. As I ran through the rain. Just then I saw her. A tall, fair, brown haired girl who stood beneath a tree, taking shelter I guess Whispered something. Her eyes looked like she's been crying and I swear I thought she had tears rolling down her cheeks. I didn 'T see it clearly because of the rain.
I awkwardly called out.
"Then she looked at me and wiped her eyes. Then, she smiled.
That day, I think I knew what it felt to feel something about anyone again. After a long time. She saved me from drowning in my own fears but I did not know she needed to be saved too.
