2026年4月になっても混迷した世情は落としどころを失ったままであり、チェキフィルムを巡る狂騒も終わりを見せません。六本木本社にすら販売在庫がないばかりか転売さえ横行しており、一部の運営では未使用フィルムの物々交換や買取を公然と募るほど。
写メやブロマイドといった代替手段も当然に各自が模索しています。とはいえチェキの強みとする、オリジナルの一枚を即時に出力し・サインを書き込み・コンパクトなサイズとして持ち運べる。といった諸スペックの再現には依然として極めて高いハードルを越える必要があります。
そこでチェキカメラそのものの代替手段を模索するべく、まずは現時点の製品比較を試みます。技術上の理由により、英文で対照表を作成しています。

つまりはチェキが依然として優位であるものの、フィルムが入手困難である現況に照らすとKodak製品を次善の策として導入することに相当程度の合理性を認めるところです。試してみた範囲では次の点に留意を要します。
・シャッターを押してから画ができあがるまでの時間はKodakの方が早いのですが、次項で紹介する特殊な出力方式に慣れる必要があります。
・スペック表記載の「4PASS Dye Sublimation」つまり4パス昇華型熱転写とはＣシアン・Ｍマゼンタ・Ｙイエローの3色にラミネート層を加えた4層の層を順番に重ねて印刷することを言い、カメラからフィルムが出たり引っ込んだりすることで実現しています。チェキの癖でフィルムを引っ張ると（本来は良くないのですが）大変なことになります
・バッテリーの持続時間が100:20と有意に異なりますので、連続使用には留意を要します。
・スペック表記載の「waterproof prints」は上記ラミネートによる撥水層を示唆しています。つまりポスカのような水性ペンとの相性が良くない点に留意を要します。
