筆談ホステスという名で有名な斉藤里恵さん（31歳）が東京都北区の地方選挙で「日本を元気にする会」から出馬する。
斉藤さんは耳が聞こえないという障害をもっているが、筆談をしながら銀座のホステスとして働いていた。
青森出身で、高校中退後、19歳からホステスとして働いていた。青森一の不良娘、とウィキデピディアでは紹介されている。万引きをしていたところを誘われて、ホステスになったという。
2009年には銀座へ移り、クラブMのナンバー1ホステスとなった。自著「筆談ホステス」も、ベストセラーとなった。
確かに苦労はあったに違いないが、ホステスとして成功したからといって、果たして政治家として成功するかは未知数だ。
また、結婚せずにお子様を出産されたそうだが、それは相手の男性に妻がいたからではないのか、という疑念が残る。
ホステスという仕事自体は悪いと思わないが、男性を誘惑する仕事であることは事実だ。
斉藤さんが不倫をしていたかは不明であるが、この点を明らかにしないと人々は納得しないだろう。
政治家は公人である以上、プライベートな点も加味して判断されるからだ。
Former Ginza 'Hitsudan Hostess' to enter politics
A former bar hostess who had once gained fame in Tokyo's Ginza entertainment district for overcoming a hearing impairment will enter the world of politics, reports Nikkan Sports.
Rie Saito, 31, announced on her blog on Wednesday that she will join the nationwide local elections in April in Tokyo's Kita Ward, where she is a resident, under the Party to Revitalize Japan ticket.
Now a single mother, Saito believes her experience in overcoming challenges can be beneficial to certain parts of society, specifically women and the disabled.
"I would like to implement political measures that work toward a barrier-free society, the advancement of women and improving the low birth rate and child care," wrote Saito.
Just before her second birthday, the native of Aomori Prefecture lost her hearing after suffering from meningitis. A high-school dropout, she eventually entered the hostess trade in Aomori. By 2009 she had moved on to ritzy Ginza where she became the top hostess at the well-regarded Club M.
