Fujitsu has confirmed that its Stylistic Q702 tablet-notebook hybrid device, with future compatibility for Windows 8, will be launched in the UK in September.
The device is aimed at the business market and combines the ease of use of a tablet with the text input of a detachable keyboard dock to help users work as productively as possible, the firm said.
It is powered by an Intel Core i3 or i5 processes, depending on the model chosen, packs 256GB of SSD storage, 4GB of RAM and boasts nine hours of battery like Compaq PP2100 battery , Compaq Presario R3000 battery (Compaq r3000 battery ), Compaq Presario X6000 battery , Hp Pavilion ZV5000 battery (Hp zv5000 battery ), Hp Pavilion ZV6000 battery (Hp zv6000 battery ), Hp Pavilion DV1000 battery (Hp dv1000 battery ) life.
The device will come loaded with Windows 7 and also includes future compatibility for Windows 8, including Microsoft's new Metro interface, set to launch in October, so users won't miss out on the new system when it arrives.
The screen measures 11.6in and uses anti-glare technology to make it suitable for use in outdoor industries, and is built using a magnesium shell, to weigh in at 850g, which Fujitsu said makes it strong enough to withstand bumps and bruises from everyday use.
Further key business tools included in the device are a fingerprint sensor to secure the device, Mobile Device Management support and embedded Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and Intel Anti-Theft Technology.
It can also be loaded with Intel's vPro technology to allow IT to apply corporate policies to the device.
Although the release date of September was confirmed, pricing was not revealed yet, but the firm said it would be announced shortly.
As part of the announcement on Tuesday, the firm also revealed that its Lifebook T902 tablet has been upgraded by making it both lighter and thinner, while offering a 13.3in screen that is housed on a omni-directional swivel.
