Biko (song) from wikipedia
"Biko" is a protest song by British rock musician Peter Gabriel. The song was included on Gabriel's third album, Peter Gabriel (1980). It is about Steve Biko, a noted black South African anti-apartheid activist. Biko had been arrested by the South African police in late August 1977. After being held in custody for several days, he was interrogated in room 619 of the Walmer Street prison in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.[1] Following the interrogation, during which he sustained serious head injuries, Biko was transferred to a prison in Pretoria, where he died shortly afterwards, on 12 September 1977. Gabriel often plays the song at the end of concerts, encouraging the audience to join in the singing, and eventually leaving only the drummer on stage. The album version of the song is bookended by a recording of the South African song “Senzeni Na?” as sung at Biko’s funeral.[2]
"Biko" was first released as a single in 1980, when it reached #38 on the British charts. A live version, recorded in July 1987 at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, was released later that year, reaching #49 in the UK. A newly recorded version of the song (again by Gabriel) was used to promote the Richard Attenborough Biko biopic Cry Freedom, and its music video (which consisted mostly of clips from the film) was in heavy rotation on MTV during the film's premiere and run. Strangely however, neither this nor any version of the song was included in the film itself or on its soundtrack.
"Biko" was also featured prominently in "Evan", the next-to-last episode of the first season of the American television show Miami Vice.
One line of the lyrics reads "Yehla Moya" which in Xhosa means "Come Spirit".

森川七月 1985年7月30日生まれ。中学時代から姉の森田葉月と共に、地元大阪でライブ活動を展開。カレン・カーペンターを思わせるような艶やかで豊かな低音域で、Jazzを基盤に、R＆B、SoulからLatinまで“彼女が歌うとすべてがJazzになる”、そんな恵まれた歌声を持つ天性のジャズヴォーカリスト。2006年2月、森田葉月&森川七月名義のシングル「Amazing Grace」でデビューし、2008年には満を持してソロ活動をスタート。同年3月にリリースした1stアルバム『＆ Jazz』で「アドリブ・アワード2008」国内ニュー・スター賞を受賞し、続く10月には早くも2ndアルバム『P-Rhythm』を、翌年3月25日にはDIMENSIONが全面的にサウンドプロデュースを担当したアルバム『PRIMAVERA』をリリース。2009年10月には、DIMENSION増崎氏、小野塚氏とともにビルボードライブ大阪出演、12月には韓国ライブTV番組に出演。2010年8月には大邱国際ジャスフェスティバルに出演する等、勢力的なライブ活動と平行し4thアルバムに向け現在制作活動中。

アース・ウィンド・アンド・ファイアー (Earth, Wind & Fire) は、アメリカのファンクミュージック・バンドである。
人気を博した1970年代の全盛期は、モーリス・ホワイトとフィリップ・ベイリーのツインヴォーカルに重厚なホーンセクションが特徴であった。1980年代前半には、他バンドに先駆けてコンピューターを利用した電子音を採り入れ、実験的な曲創りにも取り組んだ。

＜高度なサウンドの再評価＞
彼らはそれぞれが一流のテクニックをもつミュージシャンだっただけに、そのパフォーマンスは今や再現不能とも思える高い完成度をもっていました。１９７０年代に彼らが打ち出していたアフリカ回帰の思想が生んだプリミティブでパワフルなファンクは、ディスコ・サウンドの台頭、電子楽器の導入によるバンドの少人数化などで、しだいにその魅力を失って行きました。
残念ながら、「大地と風と炎」が生んだ「原始の響き」は、サンプリングやリミックスによってしか聞くことができなくなりそうです。

￥731 Amazon.co.jpタワー・オブ・パワー（Tower of Power）はアメリカのファンク、R&Bのバンド。バリトンサックスをフィーチャーした重厚なホーンセクションが大きな特徴である。ヒューイ・ルイス&ザ・ニュースと活動していた頃は、タワー・オブ・パワー・ホーンズとも呼ばれていた。
歴史
テナーサックス奏者のエミリオ・カスティーヨとバリトンサックス奏者のドクター・クプカが中心になってカリフォルニア州オークランドで結成。その後活動の拠点をサンフランシスコに移し、1970年にデビューした。
1973年のアルバム「タワー・オブ・パワー」収録の「ホワッツ・ヒップ」によってバンドはその名が知られることとなる。重厚なホーンセクションのみならず、ベースのロッコ・プレスティアとドラムのデヴィッド・ガリバルディによる16ビートを駆使した強力なリズムセクション、ソウルフルなバラードも彼らの持ち味であった。
1974年末に来日した時には、かまやつひろしの「ゴロワーズを吸ったことがあるかい」や、RCサクセションのアルバム『シングル・マン』のバックをつとめた[1]。1975年には朱里エイコのバックをつとめて、シングルが発売された。
メンバーチェンジを繰り返しながらも1970年代はコンスタントにアルバムを発表していたが、1980年代前半はレコード会社との契約がなく不遇をかこっていた。しかし1980年代半ばに大人気となったサンフランシスコ出身のヒューイ・ルイス&ザ・ニュースがホーンセクションとして彼らを起用したことで再び注目が集まり、1987年に復活アルバムを発表する。また同年、中村あゆみのアルバム「Smalltown Girl」にもホーンセクションとして参加。
1990年代は1970年代のファンクミュージックが再評価されたことで、彼らはいわゆる「リスペクト」の対象となり、定期的にアルバムを発表した。現在も主にライブで活動中。たびたび来日公演も行なっている。

いいお天気と赤いダイヤモンド
今日はいい天気です。仕事もこういう風に気持ちよく行けばいいんですけどね。
めずらしく、帰るのをいやがっています。
今日は、金魚作家の「＊＊もと」さんが、金魚のお世話中。
今年の当歳魚の出来を拝見してきました。
まずは、余技のメダカ。「楊貴妃」という品種だそうです。赤い色が濃いほどいいそうです。それにしてもたいそうな名前。よほどいい魚を作らないと名前に負けてしまいます。
元気な今年の春に生まれた当歳魚たち。まだまだ未知数ですが、楽しみな魚です。
こちらが、目の覚めるような親魚。・・・堂々とした体格が素晴らしい。
ぼくは、やっぱり、紅白の更紗系が可愛くて好きだ。どのこもほんとい可愛い。
赤も白も、堂々とした感じがいいね。
なかでも、こいつの風格は凄い。
ぼくも、子供の頃に金魚を飼っていて、らんちゅも３回ほど子供をとりました。
でも、他のことが忙しくなってきて、手のかからない熱帯魚に転向したんですが、
今は、その暇もないので、魚は、なにも飼っていません。
らんちゅうは、とてもじゃないけど手が出せません。
たまに散歩の通り道の「＊＊もと」さんの魚を見せて貰って溜息をついています。
