ロコ・モーション（原題はThe Loco-Motion）は、アメリカ合衆国のミュージシャン・リトル・エヴァ(Little Eva)が1962年にリリースしたシングル。作詞はジェリー・ゴーフィン（Gerry Goffin）。作曲はキャロル・キング。編曲はラリー・ノレッド（Larry Norred）。











カヴァー版

1960年代にフレンチ・ポップスの歌手であるシルヴィ・ヴァルタンによりフランス語でカヴァーされた。



1974年に、グランド・ファンク（Grand Funk）がハードロック調にカヴァーした。グランド・ファンクのカヴァー曲は、ビルボード誌で、1974年5月4日に、週間ランキング第1位を獲得した。ビルボード誌1974年年間ランキングでは第6位だった。ビルボード誌の集計では、グランド・ファンク・レイルロード時代を含めて、グランド・ファンク最大のヒット曲となった。



1986年には、再結成されたプログレッシブ・ロックバンドのエマーソン・レイク・アンド・パウエルによりカヴァーされた。


1987年に、カイリー・ミノーグがユーロビート調にカヴァーした。カイリーのカヴァー曲は、ビルボード誌で、1988年11月12日に、週間ランキング最高位の第3位を獲得した。ビルボード誌1988年年間ランキングは第51位だった。ビルボード誌の集計では、カイリー・ミノーグ最大のヒット曲となった。

日本ではアメリカ版と同年の1962年に、伊東ゆかりによるカヴァー版がリリースされた（訳詞：あらかわひろし）。アメリカ版との違いは原曲を日本語に訳したり一部曲調を変更した程度である。


1993年にはMi-Keがアルバム『甦る60’s 涙のバケーション』でカバーした。ORANGE RANGEがオリジナル曲として2004年に発表した『ロコローション』は、楽曲の一部の『ロコ・モーション』との類似性を指摘され、後に『ロコ・モーション』のカヴァーとされた。
