Hello Everyone;
Now this is pretty cool: in her TED talk (http://www.ted.com/talks/suzanne_simard_how_trees_talk_to_each_other ?),
ecologist Suzanne Simard explains how trees communicate – via their
underground root system. The older trees known as “Hub” or “Mother”
trees not only
pass on and exchange nutrients but they also pass on wisdom, warnings,
and let others in the network know when they are dying. You’ve heard of
trees competing for root expansion and nutrients but the fact that they
are above all else collaborators to help preserve the forest is
re-assuring to me. If humans can take a cue from this tree talk, we
might be better off, too.
Now this is pretty cool: in her TED talk (http://www.ted.com/talks/
To your Happiness,
Kita
