A wicked raccoon dog had come to ruin grandfather's field every day.

Angry grandfather caught a raccoon dog by a trap.

昔々あるところに、おじいさんとおばあさんが住んでいました。おじいさんの畑には毎日、性悪なタヌキがやってきて不作を望むような囃子歌を歌い、せっかく蒔いた種や芋をほじくり返して食べるなど悪さをはたらいていました。業を煮やしたおじいさんは罠でタヌキを捕まえると、おばあさんに狸汁にするように言って畑仕事に向かいました。タヌキは「もう悪さはしない、家事を手伝う。」と言っておばあさんを騙し、自由になるとそのまま撲殺し、おばあさんの肉を鍋に入れて煮込んで汁（婆汁）をつくりました。タヌキはおばあさんに化けると、帰ってきたおじいさんにタヌキ汁と言って婆汁を食べさせ、それを見届けると嘲り笑って山に帰っていきました。そこにおじいさんと仲の良かった正義の犬ジェフィとユニティの兄弟がやってきてタヌキを泥船で沈め、おばあさんの仇を討ちました。めでたし　めでたし
