There are many reasons a person may choose to get a tattoo removed. One reason may be that it is holding them back from landing their dream job. It also could be a personal reason such as embarrassment or simply just regretting getting it done in the first place. Fortunately, there are a couple options for those of you who do want that ink removed.
The first option is getting laser light removal. Laser light removal is probably the most popular method but it can cost quite a bit of money and is known to be very painful. Depending on the size of your tattoo you will have to go in for 1-10 sessions. The typical cost of laser removal is between $250 to $850 per session.
The second option is do it yourself creams which is probably the least painful option. Do it yourself creams are also very popular when it comes to tattoo removal but the end result is not nearly as great as laser light removal. Do it yourself creams can also be quite expensive. The typical cream cost about $250 and will need to be used for months before seeing results so expect to buy multiple bottles. Typically, creams do not vanish the tattoo completely, instead it just fades the color.
The third option is to get intense pulse light therapy. Intense pulse light therapy is known to be very effective but you will have to pay a hefty price for this procedure. Most clinics offer a price of between $10 to $20 per each pulse. A large tattoo could end up having several pulses so as you could imagine, this could add up quickly and drain your pockets very quickly as well.
There are also two other methods called dermabrasion and excision which are both extremely pricey and many clients do not see the results they'd like. Both of these methods are also known to scar the skin and cause severe damage. The method you decide to choose greatly depends on your financial situation and tolerance for pain!
