Sugar Sands Beachfront Hotel, a By The Sea Resort, located in the optimal vacation bliss locale of the fartherest western edge of Panama City Beach, Florida, is a home-away-from-home ideal for weekends or weeks of sublime vacation rest, relaxation and rejuvenation—or just plain fun in the sun!
Our basic, non-suite room, that we booked via AGODA (two fantastic finds via one online search), is surprisingly spacious.
This is a well-appointed bedsit, designed for long-term (and short-term) comfort and convenience.
With an immense balcony (that probably can easily accommodate 6-8 people comfortably), offers an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico’s crystalline turquoise waters (unless they’re tossed by stormy weather) that are edged by the whitest crystalline sands north of the Caribbean.
With the continual soothing song of the sea, this is a picture of sublime natural beauty.
Now for the generous traveler features found at Sugar Sands: the enormous hotel rooms feature a wall of glass facing the sea; two firmly comfortable queen beds facing a wall-mount flatscreen TV (that offers a plethora of channels including HBO and Disney for kids); a built-in eating bar with seating stools tucked underneath; an oversized comfy chair for curling-up with book; a spacious six-drawer deep storage cabinet for personal items; a full KITCHEN with standard-size appliances—including a four-burner stove with oven; a large capacity refrigerator with freezer; a microwave and coffee maker; and a galley sink and built-in cabinets complete with a of minimal eating place settings and cooking utensils.
Another great aspect of this well-designed vacation retreat is that the bathroom facilities are located in separate rooms.
The bathtub/shower and toilet are located in a large, private room. The boudoir vanity mirror and sink are also separate and located in a wide, private hall that’s out of view from the bedroom area.
In addition, near the vanity, is a closet for hanging clothes, that also stores an ironing board and iron.
Visitors will also enjoy the following FREE conveniences offered at Sugar Sands Beachfront Hotel.
These include an outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers; offers free WiFi; free on-premise parking; and an elevator to reach upper-level rooms.
This is our new, absolutely FAVORITE destination in Panama City Beach, and AGODA is definitely THE BEST, most discount-laden web reservation booking site out there!!

We just had another wonderful time with family at Sugar Sand’s By the Sea Resort. This was our 8 th stay since April of 23’. We’ve traveled and stayed as a couple, with my brother’s family, we brought our children (flew one in) for 10 days, stayed a month in November 23’. This time we invited my mother in law and father in law down to celebrate her birthday. As per usual the staff was on point. They know us by name and take care of us in every way possible. We absolutely enjoy SS the rooms are clean all include a kitchen. The VIEW is remarkable. Pool is nice. We absolutely love the WEST end. I highly recommend.
