Everything! Location was very near the old town, no more than a few minutes on foot. Staff were very welcoming. Our room was ready 3 hours ahead of check in time. Bedroom was a reasonable size, comfortable bed. Breakfast and upstairs terrace were really fantastic, with an amazing view of the old town and sea. A very good choice of delicious sweet and savoury items, including pancakes!
Pretty good value for money considering the location, free parking right outside the hotel and the great breakfast.
Nice hotel ,stayed here 11 years ago ....pity the roof terrace isn't finished yet ....

The staff are fabulous. So friendly, cheerful and helpful. They are a credit to themselves and the hotel. Check-in was quick and easy, and we were given a map of the area and shown some useful or interesting places to visit.
The hotel itself is absolutely spotless. Our room was small but had everything we needed, including a safe and a little fridge. There was air conditioning and our balcony had a lovely view of the sea. Beds were comfy too. Towels are provided and it's also possible to rent beach towels from reception, at a cost of €3 per towel.
The breakfast included in our rate was good; warm options included scrambled eggs, bacon and mini frankfurter sausages. There was a wide selection of pastries, yogurts, meats and cheese, fruit and salad as well as good coffee. The hotel has a pool bar which serves cocktails, drinks and some snack/lunch options.
The pool area was again clean and well maintained. It's worth noting that it is very deep at one end and the depths weren't noted at the side, so just to take care.
The hotel also has a gym which was a good selection of equipment.
Location wise, there are a couple of supermarket, restaurant and bar options within a 5 min walk, with the main town being approx 15-20 min walk from the hotel. We used electric scooters to get around during our stay - there are a variety of providers and you can pay as you go.
I would definitely return to Hotel Florida if I were to visit Alghero again.

With everything in life if the people are right well your going to be ok.
We arrived on the 11th of September at 21.00 and we were greeted by a lovely lady who checked us in to room 104 with a sea view. Her advice on check in where to eat and what to see in Alghero was first class. Location 10 minutes walk to the beautiful old town and right across the road from the hotel is the beautiful sandy beach. Breakfast was good but again its the breakfast staff that make a real difference here. The air conditioning in the room was the best as it was hitting 37 degrees outside and the room was so cool. Front of house staff, breakfast staff, bar staff, cleaning staff and life guards as I said at the start if your people are right well then you are on a winner. Well done to the hotel Florida staff first class.

The hotel is only 5 minutes on foot from Fertilia town. The staff is super polite and professional.
Especially the Reception and Front Office staff.
There is direct access to the beach with free sunbeds for the guests. Don't be put off by the mild smell of rotten eggs at the beach, as you may read in some reviews.
It's just dying algae and it's actually good for you and therapeutic.
The pools are great, especially the Infinity pool. The view is amazing.
The rooms are clean and the chambermaids work really really hard.
Breakfast is superb with some options you rarely find in hotels.
We also booked the half-board supplement and the dinner was amazing. It's not a buffet, but much much better.
You get an A-la-carte menu and you can select 1 of each from Appetizer, First dish, Second dish, Side dish, Dessert.
It's like a proper fine dining restaurant.
Overall it's the best hotel we stayed in Italy and would happily return.

The breakfast was served in various varieties for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, so definitely take your stay with breakfast included.
We could see the sea from everywhere, while sitting near bar, in restaurant or near pool.
The room were cleaned everyday, and cleaned very well.
We travelled with a 2.5 year child, the staff provided all necessary facilities,i.e. bottle warmer, child bed.
There was a mini fridge in the room, useful to store some beer;)
The double bed was very stable.
