Absolutely fantastic place to stay in Rethymno!

We stayed at DYO suites for 5 nights. From the moment we arrived we received great hospitality and service. The hotel is brand new and beautifully decorated, what you see in the pictures is what you get. On arrival we received a bottle of wine and snacks which was a nice touch. Our suite was ultra modern with super comfortable beds, sound proof rooms and good air conditioning so we slept wonderfully. A large Smart TV with hundreds of channels. All suites have a sea view and a balcony with chairs and tables to sit and have a drink and watch the amazing sun set! The breakfast is great and high quality. Just across the road is the beach with the best sunbeds, oversized beanbags and double sized beds to lounge on. There is a full service bar available also.
I can't say enough to recommend this fabulous hotel. A special thank you to Zoe, Giannis and Jim for their personalised service and friendly attitude.
WE WILL BE THERE AGAIN! :)

A 4 star hotel but the room looks like staff quarter. Located closed to the Fortress and within walking distance to the main town area and the attractions. The room is on 1st floor. Friendly staff but can be improved by helping with the luggages on climbing stairs. Breakfast good. On site parking available.

Pool is basically a bath, limited seating by it and only 4/5 sun loungers on roof terrace. Breakfast options are limited. Room is clean but basic. Awful price for why you get. Stay elsewhere.

very badly situated hotel, unhelpful staff

It took me a while to be able to find this hotel from the bus station, it's a ctually a 10-15 min walk in a straight line, opposite the town center. It's horribly situated, nearly out of town and most people I asked had never heard of it apparently.
I found the staff to be unhelpful, polite but not really caring or willing to assist more than the bare minimum. 3 euros for a 24-hour wifi pass is also NOT a good idea.
Overall a very dull hotel, like many in Crete I'm afraid, the kind of which offers a swimming pool 20m away from the beach and caters to people (50 year-old + brits on average) who actually prefer swimming in pools rather than in the sea.
Bland and boring. AVOID.

vraiment exceptionnel, attention malgré tout il est loin du centre ville si vous n'avez pas de véhicule. Sinon restaurant juste à coté avec vue sur la mer et excellent. Personnel vraiment très aimable, lieux superbes , piscine et plage privée vraiment top. le petit déjeuner est vraiment copieux. La chambre est spacieuse et décorée avec beaucoup de gout
