This was our first time to Port A and we loved it! This hotel is located away from the busy so it was peaceful. We loved the hot tub. Our room was spacious, beds were comfy, and staff was helpful. The AC didn’t work well and the room was clean enough but could have been cleaner. Overall we had a great stay and would stay here again!

Cleaning staff cuts corners

One beds fitted sheets were not changed, wrinkled and slept in. Long hair found in other bed, and a pleasant surprise of a pubic hair on top of the comforter. Shower drain backs up and there was foam everywhere from another rooms showers coming up in the drains. Shower didn’t feel clean, maybe just hard water stains. (For this complaint it isn’t exactly the hotels fault) —> noisiest neighbors I’ve ever experienced in any hotel, like being next to a barn with zoo animals (probably some of Houston’s finest visiting) 3:00 am the rooms alarm quietly started clicking, kinda like when a call would be coming in and you were connected to a phone line modem, by 4:00 am the zoo animals had awoken and started shuffling around and hollering across the room, which lasted till 9:00 when they departed. Over all this would not be a first choice, even at $85 a night, much less the $140 we paid. (I’m slowly learning, When you think your getting a great deal, it is likely that you will be extremely disappointed) Next time I will pay the extra to stay in a known hotel with a good reputation.
Spring break

Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff, and decent breakfast. We went during spring break, so the price was much higher than I would’ve normally paid for this place. Also, walls are pretty thin which is extremely noticeable during spring break.
