浮世絵写真作品No.073「兼六園曲水の花」

インスピレーションを得た浮世絵「広重・玉川堤の花」

　浮世絵は、新宿を流れる玉川上水堤に植えられる予定であった、桜並木の完成予想図である。浮世絵は、現在の広告の役目もあり、写真のなかった時代の、的確な情報伝達技術でもあった。桜並木は、はしゃぎすぎた江戸市民を幕府が牽制し、中止になったという。

写真は、兼六園を流れる曲水に植えられた桜並木。曲水に映る花が、朝日によって輝く様は、造園師のもくろんだ通り、見事と言うほかはない。

  The ukiyoe print is a completion forecast map of the rows of cherry blossom trees which was going to be planted on the Tamagawajosui bank flowing through Shinjuku. The ukiyoe print had the duty of the current advertisement and was a precise communication technology of the times when there was not the photograph. As for the row of cherry blossom trees, the Shogunate checks too much in high spirits Edo citizen, and it is said that it was called off.

A row of cherry blossom trees which was planted in the meandering river where the photograph flowed through Kenroku-en Garden. The state that a flower reflected in the meandering river shines with by the morning sun cannot help saying wonderfully as the landscape architect schemed it.
