インスピレーションを得た浮世絵「広重・日暮里寺院の林泉」

　浮世絵の日暮里寺院とは、修性院、青雲寺、妙隆寺の事で、競って花木を植えたので、見物客が多かった。版画で枝垂れ桜を表現する事は難しいが、広重は絶妙な技法でこれを解決した。写真は、福井県の僻村にある「花の寺」として知られる西雲寺の枝垂れ桜。地元の人々が、桜祭りを開催していた。

Hint ・Hirosige Utagawa「Garden of the Nippori temples」

  Because the Nippori temple of the ukiyoe print was Suseiin, azure sky temple, Myoryuji and planted Hanaki competitively, there were many spectators. It was difficult to express a weeping cherry tree with a print, but Hiroshige solved this in exquisite technique. The weeping cherry tree of the west cloud temple where the photograph is known as "a temple of the flower" in the out-of-the-way hamlet of Fukui. Local people held cherry tree Festival.
