アメリカ同時多発テロの首謀者とされるアルカーイダの司令官オサマ・ビンラディン。そのアジトを急襲し、殺害したジェロニモ作戦の全貌に迫る戦争アクション。特殊作戦のみを行うアメリカ海軍ネイビーシールズの隊員たちが、いかにしてビンラディンを追い詰めていったのか、その一部始終がリアルな映像とともに描かれる。
2001年9月11日に発生したアメリカ同時多発テロから10年。特殊任務専門の特殊部隊ネイビーシールズの精鋭“チーム6＝DEVGRU（＝デブグルー）”は、その首謀者であるオサマ・ビンラディン襲撃のときを待っていた。だが、不確実な情報を元に基地周辺を捜索していたところ、リーダーのスタナー（カム・ジガンティ）が何者かに撃たれてしまう。その場は敵を捕え、辛うじて難を逃れたものの、ターゲットであるビンラディンの影はすぐそこまで迫っていた。そして、遂に訪れたその時。錯綜する情報に翻弄されながらも、執念の追跡によってペンタゴンはビンラディン潜伏先への攻撃を指示。果たして作戦の行方は？最も危険で不可能と言われた作戦の全貌が今、遂に明かされる……。

It first aired on the National Geographic Channel on Sunday, November 4, 2012. The facts in the film were not confirmed or denied by White House officials.[1] Cam Gigandet, Kenneth Miller, Kathleen Robertson are among the actors who appear in the film. The part of the film showcasing the Pakistan locales were shot at Khopoli near Mumbai, India as the filmmakers were unable to secure permission to shoot in Pakistan. It holds a mixed critic rating on score aggregator Metacritic.
