アメリカで60年の歴史を持ち「パンケーキの王道」と呼ばれる「オリジナルパンケーキハウス(The Original Pancake House)」が日本初上陸。2013年6月4日、日本1号店を丸井吉祥寺店にオープンする。
オリジナルパンケーキハウスは、ブレックファースト、ランチ、ディナーを選ばず、アメリカで長年にわたって広く親しまれてきた老舗パンケーキチェーン店。1953年にオレゴン州ポートランドで創業し、現在では全米に117店舗を構えている。
吉祥寺店では、こだわり抜いた素材と伝統の製法・技術により本国のパンケーキを忠実に再現。 注目メニューは、オーブンでじっくり焼き上げたジャーマンパンケーキに手作りのホイップバター、レモン、粉砂糖をふりかけた「ダッチベイビー」、新鮮なリンゴとシナモンをふんだんに使いオーブンで焼き上げた「アップルパンケーキ」、生地作りに時間をかけ、手作りホイップバター、手作りメープルシロップを添えて食べる、定番の「バターミルクパンケーキ」など。そのほか、オリジナルレシピのパンケーキ、クレープ、ワッフル、卵料理などバリエーション豊かなメニューをラインナップ。
