海外営業の仕事  コレポン

今日は神戸に行ってました車

うわっ星野JAPAN負けた!ショック! キューバやるなぁ。

午前中は普段ゆっくり見られないアメブロで

良くペタをいただく方のブログを中心にROM。

ブログって何気なくはじめたんですが、色んな方の

考え、視点が分かってすごくおもしろい(^-^)

ブログをはじめて約3ヶ月になろうとしていますが、

元々海外営業ってどんな仕事してるの?って趣旨で

はじめたブログでもあり、たまにメッセージを受ける事も

ありますので、今晩は仕事の事につき書いてみますね。


就職サイトではないので、イメージのみにとどめたいと思います。


ほな、海外営業の基本コレポンの事につき書いてみましょう。

コレポン=correspondenceの略ですが、辞書で調べると


文通、通信、一致とたくさんの意味が出てきます。


簡単に言えば、日常の顧客とのビジネス文書のやりとりを


総称して、コレポンといいます。


昔メールが、全世界に普及していなかった時、コレポンは


FAXが中心でした。今はメールやネットワークプリンターなど


を使い、添付書類をPDFにしてやりとりするのが一般的だと思います。


下記今日届いていた豪州の顧客からのコレポンを少しmodifyして


貼り付けますね。

I am sending you some notes which may be useful for our discussion XXX at Singapore, First of all, I want to say that I have a very open mind about how I can assist XXX to get XXX into the Australian market. I met with XXX of XXX last month and he explained that XXX and XXX have some strong, high level contacts between your companies in Japan, which may influence how you decide to eventually distribute XXX in Australia. I am prepared to take either a more active and aggressive role, or a very background role.


Perhaps, we will have a better idea which way is best.


Option (1) – More Active Launch of XXX in Australia


You mentioned in an earlier email that you were interested in my ideas for a more active launch of XXX in Australia. The main components of such are plan are;

- engage a marketing company to assist with Marketing and Sales (see proposal from XXX)

- establish a legal structure for XXX Division in Australia

- set up a logistics (distribution) network in Australia


XXX is an example of one such Marketing company. I like their approach because their business model provides a dedicated marketing professional to be the Marketing Manager in Australia for XXX. The Marketing Manager works on a part time basis. I had a meeting with XXX, and showed them the XXX. They are very enthusiastic about your product and recognize the tremendous strength of the XXX XXX name in Australia. Their proposal is attached. At this stage, the proposal is more a general capability outline of XXX and their approach. If this looks interesting to you, we can discuss with them the preparation of a more specific and targeted marketing plan for XXX


As XXX does not want to get involved, a very good alternative is to establish a separate corporation in Australia – XXX. I have done this before a few times with the Accounting firm who set up XXX for me. This is not a complicated process and is relatively inexpensive. One model is to have 3 directors. Two staff from XXX Japan could be directors, (including the Managing Director), and there needs to be one Australian director. I would be prepared to be that director and I would look after filing company returns, etc. XXX would (initially) employ no staff, and the company would look after importing, warehousing and the logistics of physical distribution. The administration of this would be handled by contract staff provided by XXX


Customs clearance, warehousing and the logistics of physical distribution would be outsourced to a suitable logistics company such as XXX. I have not investigated the details of this yet.


XXX has access to a XXX engineer who has XXX and XXX XXX support skills, so technical support services can be provided.


The above is not a fixed plan, and I am happy to discuss other approaches. If you are interested in the “more active” market launch, I can provide an estimate of the cost of this implementation.


Option (2) – Trial Marketing/Background approach


The trial marketing approach is what we discussed initially. I have excellent contacts in the XXX industry, and the distribution would occur essentially through channels such as XXX,XXX , etc.


To conclude, I provide some further background on my experience. As well as XXX of XXX with responsibility for XXX Asia-Pac business, I am on the Executive Committee for XXX XXX Association (XXX www.xxx com.au).

XXX got his start in XXX with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and M.Eng.Sc. from the University of XXX. Since then, he has accumulated 35 years experience in R&D, sales, project management, marketing, management and export business development, including:

- 9 years in XXX developing XXX and X-XXX systems

- general manager of XXX business units

- marketing general manager for the Australian subsidiary of a global XXX XXX supplier

- Asia-Pacific director for US XXX company XXX for past 9 years.

Keyになるのは、限られたhuman resourceでどうやって市場を拡大させるか!


先方は、色々親切(お節介)に提案してくれていますが、勿論飲むつもりはありません。


機内の中では、こうした提案へのレス対応につき、より具体的にどうすべきか


と考える事が多いですね。機内の中はリーマンにとってとても貴重な時間です。


豪州はまだ、ほとんど手をつけられていない市場でして、本人は一番訪問したい国


にも関わらず、断腸の思いで4年目の社員にやらせてみようかと考えています!


その彼を連れ、夏休み明けはシンガポールに出張してきます。




今夜は真面目に仕事の話でした!
