It's event for the WDSF. It's event for our couples. It's event for our teachers. It's event for our judges.

It means a lot. Bring a faith. Bring a good atmosphere. Show the true spirit of a dance. Really understand that any

pressure, any challenge what you have on any other competition should not be present here. If anyone of the people don't understand, just remember how

painful was when you was a competitor and there was like not fair judging. It was really terrible for you. Okay. If

you do that to anybody else in order to extremely support your own that means that you are highest level of hypocrisy.

We can find excuse. Everybody's doing that. So that means that you're lying yourself. So it is okay that you have your opinion. If you identify that

anyone cross the line, there will be really consequences. Uh President Sean at major events. World Sport Federation

President Shante sets the tone from the very top. His message is clear.

Integrity, responsibility, and respect for the sport. You can feel the weight of these words in the room. We eliminated a few judges based on their

so-cal unfair judging for favoritism or for whatever politics they want. But here I always believe we got to clean it

up at the base level and that is here at every event. We have invited 40 what we

call the judges who are respectable and who are more honest. You know what we want. You know what you have to do. you

are under pressure but unfortunately when come to such important event you have to draw a very clear line. So okay uh I hope you all have a clear mind now.

You have a very big job not the easy one a difficult one. You maybe people will be angry with you hate you but you are

in a difficult position but you should have your responsibility if you want to take this position accept the invitation you have to do it.

I know that you don't know what you just today we'll try to print it and let you know. It's very important for us that you you are here on time. We don't need

to chase you. It's a very big place and it's difficult. Just be aware we are already in in front of time table.

Please don't use negative judging in every competition. It happen every time you're choosing the couple that are not in the floor and marking everybody else.

Couple arrive, athletes are in, out, something happened and we have problems. Okay. So, uh, just we need to start now.

So, be ready. And so, definitely this for the moment. Here we go. Here we go.

but the rest of the people enjoying their free time let's say like truly fine on the bed [laughter]

it's going to be fun just finish it was already better situation but still girls with the 15 years old too aggressive to

adjudicators I need to say dancing in front of them in 1 m it's not acceptable at all it is not in the culture of

ballroom particularly here in winter garden and it's look strange probably.

Yeah. For when you see the audience on another side looking uh what so dear girls I give you one advice. The best

judge for you is the audience. Dance for them.

Dance for them. They they are there. Not educators is important. They will look you in a convenient way. But that's what

you do for the moment. It was not good at all. [music]

Everyone busy with their own stuff here. I see [music]

conversations, socializing, eating, [music] chatting.

We just finished judging the international standard first date. How you like it? Wonderful. Incredible atmosphere.

This ballroom is just something else. and I get the same goosebumps.

Doesn't matter how many times I put my foot on that floor. Doesn't matter how many times I walk down from those steps.

It's the same. And this is exactly what I see from the couples competing here,

how lucky they feel, how amazing they feel dancing in this magnificent pool.

You judge the financial couples who are ordering from first to sixth place. Have you seen was different?

No. No. um not the way I saw it. Um but again um I think it it is good to be a

different judge and to to to to stick to it and um I think that most of the couples that I was in the final but

definitely not the way I had judged it from first to sixth place but all good which quality you can put [music] it out

what is there on the couples which you like it? Well, I like it when the couples remain pure to their arts.

When they the couples put the music first and the character of each and every dance first and I think that

that in this ballroom just stands out so much clearer than anywhere.

Wow. Say to me, you think it is the same quality for you in London to say this?

Oh, for sure. I think I think and especially when we now see [music] the couples dance to the orchestra. I think that that is going to be something else.

Last year it was amazing to see [music]

our couples, our athletes from WDSF perform in this room and dance to that orchestra. [music] It was incredible and

I'm sure it's going to be even better this summer. Thank you. Thank you.

You just finished with the international standup, right? [music]

Yes, correct. So do you think judges today was completely fair? [singing]

I think so. I think they try to be as fair as possible. [music] So you for me was clear the winner I could see and then if we take over all the couples the

evel was so similar that I don't know what will come out with the markings if the couples will check but I think it was quite similar.

Do you enjoy the competition? Is it fine? What is the feeling?

I mean it's the first day so the floor is not full of audience but the couples are pushing their limits. So I must say I do. You prefer technique or performance?

Is a difficult question because I think performance cannot be without the technique. So overall I judge the performance. Power or control?

Control of the power. [laughter] Risk or safety? Risk. Musicality or precision? Musicality.

Strong personality or perfect basics? I think more personality. Uh clean dancing or emotional impact?

Emotional impact one perfect dance or five consistent one consist consistency

follow lead who matters more today I think it's kind of a combination because before was more clear lead and follow now it's a mixture I don't

believe just follow or leave how much does consistency across rounds matter for you I would say a lot because I would like [music] to see the consistency through

the rounds and overall to judge the performance not round by rounds so you don't judge from like a round uh exception in a point

in a way I do but it's still emotionally going to give impact to me if I see consistency or the couple in the final round when I expect her to do their best

inally will drop the consistency thank you very much you're welcome thank you moment leaving at European time it is 12:00 so it is 11

ight now in England rain outside and uh yeah it is successful day I need

to say it excited for me I have enjoyed and have smiled the whole the whole judging day. It is another 3 days. I

need to say it from judging side. It is very difficult to do it but I enjoy.

Yeah, for the moment it is look feels good. So somehow like this black wall finally a little bit warmer second day.

So today Friday and uh I'm a little bit in rush. It's about uh 5 minutes to

walk. Actually we are not far away from the from the winter garden. It's just

like few blocks actually. Now you will see typical England blackpool

vacation cities. So yeah let's take it about 5 minutes to come. Actually beautiful church here. I need to say it like never been inside.

I don't know how many times I've been in Blackpool. Maybe six, seven, eight.

First time I was 1994 here and of course in that time it was really impressive for me completely

different culture uh different look because coming from Soviet Union and in that time country was falling apart so

it was nothing work plus it is socialistic buildings and everything blocks so this was unbelievable age for

me looking interesting but definitely not not my style full of dancers

president of Bulgarian Federation. Vlet is on the on the corner here. Run, run,

run, run. Yeah. Yeah. Entrance. Is it excited today to entrance? Oh, for sure.

It will never be different. I guess you imagine in this

people compete more than 100 years. It's impressive. I need to say it's impressive. We're going to a dudicator. need to be ready there.

What was the most difficult thing to judge today? It's never an easy job to adjudicate a dance competition because I'm probably one of the people who um take my job very seriously. Not myself,

but this job, this responsibility uh as an adjudicator because um as a dancer myself in the past, I know how hard

every couple train, how hard all of them work and how hard all of them want to improve and to succeed. The competition

always about them. It's not about us adjudicators who uh we we are um at the background of the event basically

generally you know like asking exactly adjudicators because we somehow you know like kind of in shadows there well it depends some people actually

think that we are the most important people in the competition you know it's all about couples uh it's not all about audience atmosphere and black bull

festival is a very unique event absolutely and it's evolving it's changing and it's never easy to adjudicate a competition. So if you ask me what what what's the most difficult,

it's just another day on the job. We are here for a few days and it's usually like a cold shower, you know, you step in [laughter] it and then you see how it goes. Even if you prepare yourself, um,

as I say, we take it very seriously.

Did you feel the couples were taking risk or playing safe? Let's say now the international final which we just

finished it. It's not probably the main event of this week uh that we just adjudicated and um I expect more

and I expect more u better couples and more serious dancing. I'm not saying that couples who dance today uh were not

good. You know, they absolutely gave it all their best.

How do you recognize a couple that's ready to win?

It's a very good question. It's a tricky one. [laughter]

It's the one who did their homework to the best basically which means they prepared to win. the competition already and hope at home stamina wise, you know,

technical wise, mentally wise and uh you can you can see when people walk on the floor and they will when they look

overwhelmed with the situation and especially black pole floor can intimidate any experienced dancer very easily. But uh you can see um when

somebody is like very uh focused blitz questions which you need to answer like in the one or two seconds.

Technique or performance? Both. Power or control? Control. Risk or safety? Risk.

Musicality or precision?

Musicality. Precise physicality if it exists. Precise physicality. [laughter] Strong personality or perfect basic?

Personality. clean dancing or emotional impact. I don't think it's in the same category,

you know, but anyway, clean dancing. So, I'll skip that one.

Okay. One perfect dance or five consistent one? Five consistent one. Follow or lead? Who matters more today?

I think it's harder to lead than to follow. Maybe because I'm a woman and I trained myself to follow [laughter] all

my life. Um but um actually I'm for balance and when lead and follow is

divided equally. Yes. Both both should take your attention. You know both partners available in different way.

Speed or timing? Timing.

Winning couple obvious or it's debatable?

Uh we prefer when it's obvious but sometimes it's debatable. [laughter] Yes. I know. Thank you.

Thank you for the question. Question first question and it is the day finish it. So do you think judging today was completely fair?

Uh you know what uh for sure we try our best this for sure and sometimes like

you know really you understand that in some places and in some competition it's really difficult to life and for me

today it was very difficult to be unfair and I did my best. Did you uh did any couple change your expectation during the rounds?

For sure it was completely different from the first round till the final because for me some of the couples was

really disaster uh how they start but they improve during the rounds. This was for me sometimes like you know unfair for me because it was very difficult to

judge because you feel like what's going on but we need to mark at that second that is why at that moment when you see

them now that is why you need to mark what you see in the flow now uh what was the most difficult thing uh to judge today

I think the most difficult was u under 21 because the level is like that uh it's like you understand that this is

our future And for me these couples are really important for our federation also other couples very important but this

age when they are really um going from like you know youth category to the amateur but they are still not amateur

and for me these couples are completely different in how they produce their dancing when they become under 21. They already like you know try to find some

other stuff and for me it was very interesting really to judge that because at the most difficult one also because it was a big challenge for me becauseall couples was in many actors really very close and that is why in one dance I I mark one couple in another dance

another couple and it was really a big challenge. Bleeds. Question. 1 2 seconds for thinking. Technique or performance? Technique with performance.

Uh power or control. Control of the movement. Risk or safety? Risk. Musicality or precision?A musicality. Strong personality or perfect basics? For sure. Strong personality.

Clean dancing or emotional impact?

Emotional impact. one perfect uh dance or five consistent.

M I think the most difficult question one perfect dance follow or lead who matters more today

1 secondyou know for me woman never follow women always react uh speed or timing right timing with the man and woman for8 secondsme very important to have men timing and woman timing thank you very much yeah it was really pleasure I enjoy very much thanks a lot

good morning third day started so today like yesterday I started at 11:00 for the moment. Uh I went to my

blog to see what I have recorded. Uh honestly about second day. Yesterday [clears throat] I was a bit upset in the

evening with the results and maybe dancing too. But I would like to check now the judging. Let us see score

including finals. Ooh. 71 79 74 me t 66

62 08. Wow. Okay. No, I don't see this couple so high. Oh, everything on eight.

Keeping this on six. But my marks was low to every couple. I didn't have any

1 secondeight. Honestly, as I see, I was the lowest in everything. How this couple become? No matter of the 20, what is 20?

First places. 20 first places. No possible. It's not 20 first places. 10 first places, they anyway become second.

Interesting how it is counted this all. Whatever. Not clear at all.

A lot of influences. Today will be another long day. [music]

Today main yeah against some of standard and uh I think it will be easier [music]

day for me. Yesterday uh I have a bit of disappointment honestly by the certain results which was there.

Not the results honestly. No, no, maybe not like this. It was like expectable. I guess it will be right word to say it.

It was kind of expectable.

No, I'm more disappointed probably on the dancing. And uh where's my jacket?

a little bit a little bit nervous uh today. Uh professional Latin

professional Latin it should be interesting to watch. So I I hope we will make a nice conversation with

okay in compar with the level I saw in rising star uh yesterday I was very happy to see this first round.

Mhm. I mean being first round uh and and what I saw yesterday in the rising so I

was really more happy I must say the level the the level so the people are more

settled more listen to music uh became already higher level in compared of the rising being the first round. So then I

I was quite happy. Is it was difficult for you now to make it like your choices for the next?

1 secondNo, actually actually not because we should choose 90 couples at the end. So then it was quite a big amount. Yeah.

So then it was a space for Is it in a rush you know like in the sense of like you see?

No actually I thought that it was not so many couples on the floor. It was maximum some 12 11. So we should uh take

like 10 couples for each round. 9 10 cup is no ping for you.

No, not at all. It was clearly Yes, it was very clear which is for me which is the next level you know. It was very

first for you in the first what you going for?For me music very important and and continues in the body soft body. So not

to be Steve and strange things. So I want to see music and organic movement actually. Yes. Yes. Uh one fast blitz question.

What do you prefer technique or performance? I think both can be together. Very nice. Power or control?

I think both should be very nice. Risk or safety. Risk. Risk.

Risk. But we have this control and technique and risk will be amazing.

Musicality and precision. Musicality stone personality or perfect basic.

Oops. Completely different fields. First round for sure. Perfect basic. Personality. Perfect basic.

Uh, one perfect dance or five consistent one?

Five consistent one. The character of each one actually. Speed or timing?

If you have musicality, do you have speed, timing, everything? Winning couple. Uh, obvious discussible,

you can say it also like this. Maybe it should be obvious. The winner should be obvious for me. Yes, of course.

But of course, there are different type of competitions. You never know. Me, for example, yesterday star was really obvious. Yeah.

Was not my winner, but was really obvious for me. No, that's okay.

That's that's why that's why we are so many chatters. For sure. For sure. Thank you very much. You're welcome. So, I decided to ask myself questions.

What is the biggest mistake [music] you saw repeatedly? So, repeatedly I see one mistake. There's no listening to music.

So, a lot of couples running over the floor um without any reaction on the high pitch transitions in the music.

Yeah. So how is important was floor after a day? Floor after today I think [music] uh really really important. Why?

Because couples hitting each other.

Floor was actually quite big and it is a lot of space and some clever couples always reacted. You see they look where everyone they go into opposite and they [music] stay on empty place and dance

really there. Uh what you see often they have a mess in front of the adjudicators hitting each other and so on. So um

that's what is really visible uh particular sambal paso or it's mess also to this heating bed I think you see not

good partnering skill so no couples so easily say boy can leave the girl with the mess of two three couples near or to

them and go away from her or pushing her somewhere and it's honestly looking really really bad floor and listen the

music [music] that will be my advice to all of them before even being part situation is like this people uh

over the table doing nothing speaking resting that's

the female club here that's French Italian corn Yes.

Welcome to the second edition of the WTSF dance festival here in United Kingdom. With only 3 months to bring community together.

Yep. That's the atmosphere of music.

So the day finished and I need to say it like just finish it right now. It is 1:00 in European time. Uh it was the

last final which I judge uh I need to say it we're all all tired and tomorrow we need to be here already at 9:00 and tonight time changed. of the experience

of the day. It was tough. Uh for adjudicators, be consistent with the present analyze. We have a lot of marks

to give it. Difficult. I need to say no pressure. So here [music]

happens. I need to say it. It was really professionally was nice to judge.

Professional dancing was really really really [music] nice to see. It is close.

It is some couples from amitars turn to professionals. So [music] it was started

with the one eight of round. So it was uh 25 couples in professionals

and um good it was a pleasure to see good control precision from couples.

So and pleasure to be in that whole being as a duplicate. I only need to say I was a finalist here and I remember I was dancing uh on short sides [music]

over there.

It was tough. A lot of rounds. I was was really tired there [music] and uh I was st a lot of people was like I was

dancing and I was coming to me and say like you should win, you should win. But I was happy just being in the final

judging also professional competition judging for 121 guys this time international. So a lot of boys in this

three [music] days. Tomorrow will be the last day and I need to say it is you know honor for me. I [music] really

proud and thankful actually also to Brazil Federation for nominate me and give me the opportunity [music] to to be

as adjudicator here. Uh I'm happy it is finished. Of course today long day we whole day here exhausting consultations

rounds rounds couples couples sometimes it is really rush we need to make it a lot of couples to to choose and also

being objective it is really really really difficult but I hope we do good job. I hope you will [music] enjoy this video. It's ciao.

deserving to be today in the final, but Ed decided like this. Yes.

wearing superior look uh right now while dancing chacha sambar it was

ter made it very nice uh very nice uh

performance and uh and of course m and sandson so audience was staying for

that in the end of the cha we See this one here on the screen.

Strong strong results. Strong results.

So as we see the fight happen to win second, third and fourth place and his

young Bench and Alexander Nichols. So they all fight for

second place and I need to say it is tight. This is the results.

Look like Constantine Bandilo will be uh for the moment fifth. So we're coming to the next dance.

Of course we bit far away probably. I would like to give the comments also important shape, form, design,

resistance in the movement. Uh also we have a style specific action like appel you just saw from Jakob.

Uh also one of the style specification pass it's a march where the

dancer walk on the hill. It's the only one dance where the dancer can walk to

the hill. The rest of it four using only footwork as a ball flap.

between Romanian and Danish couple. What is one of the crucial for performance?

It is uh knowing to react correctly on the music. So dancers normally always allowed music to start.

And now we will see how is Chinese couple created [music]

the dance floor. Quite nice entrance into the um [music]

They are very specific by the energy [music]

basic movements. You need to have it in your choreography. What it will be link to

root of the um so good strong line it energy high.

Um, nice interpretation. A little bit basic. Me would like to see a little bit

more body action. This is the potential favorite winner of tonight, a Spanish

couple. Well, they are good. It's a creating atmosphere on the dance floor and creating uh

uh performance. Nice atmosphere, of course.

Being as a judicator, as a dancer, with the audience, it's always a pleasure to be here. It's easy for them tonight.

It's easier. They will uh win this competition,

which is obviously the choice of the audience. So they famous about elegant uh nice soft movements,

very coordinational and harmony in the uh in the movements. Good partnering skills. They look dominate on this dark

up floor in this uh standing. Take a look choice of the audience.

Let's see what the professionals will say now. And the score coming

three. So there for this moment they know as a charismatic passionated

couple. So they start together. Let's going into the line

Beautiful movements need to say it quite the trouble maybe in the

characterization of the dance but performance is very nice. Here we go. Uh the score

a little lower and I guess they will rally four. Oh, they good. They good.

They know to fight. They are very strong personalities. Confronting Rodulo fighting to be in the final and it is

econd time in Blackpool. He so as you see Roomba works that's what we talk about into the particular line.

Uh the well balanced choreography is very important for performance. Quite uh quite strong uh technically first of all

very nice line and good coordination on this couple. They're very maybe sporty dated uh in sense of like always 100%

good technique, good partnering skills in sense of leading but if we are searching there more about passionate

ance together we will not see it's not the couple about that one but they

absolutely 100% and you imagine again they complete the whole day. Here we go.

This four. So this strongly fits after four dances. This is it. They will finish it. Fin.

Well, very amazing, but also very demanding. Demanding. Yeah. Four full days. Yeah.

From the morning till the till they till the late night.

You have to be chairman on such a big competition. Yes, it is. It is.

Because you are more or less always on Tuesday. Is it was something like um outstanding from order on that competition you know like some problems

some troubles the dudicators with the there were not schedules there was not so many troubles it was a tough schedule

uh but um yeah it's you have to prepare before the competition after competition after each round before each round so it's you have not so many breaks

so all how you finding this for double 7 is good event I think it's a very good event and the relation last year it improved a lot so

I think it's going upwards is it will have a future so how long is that plan to do that competition I have no information to that but I

think it's a long-term plan thank you for that so what was the most difficult thing to judge for you in that competition

the most difficult things maybe the the juveniles and juniors because I think in this time the level was very high and it was very difficult to choose between the

couples because all they performed very beautiful in the final How important was floor tough for you?

For me it's very important things and I think there was a lot of problem with this uh host in the broom coup was because the floor is very long and uh it's difficult to manage the the size.

So that was lot of times problem with this one and I think the Latin couple as well sometimes there was a lot of accident and crash.

What do you focus in first body mechanic musicality or for me the musicality is one of the the first especially in this hall? Yeah,
