これはスイスの母と呼ばれているヘルベチアです。本当は楯と槍を持って果敢に戦うスイスの守護神みたいな女性です。スイスの硬貨に描かれています。スイス北部の街バーゼル市の橋の真ん中にあるこのヘルベチア像は楯と槍を置き、旅行カバンを置いて観る人に背中を向けて橋のたもとに座ってライン川に見入っています。なにやら考え込んでいる様だし迷っている様にもみえます。この１９７９／８０年に作られた彫像は旅に出るヘルベチアと呼ばれています。
次の３ヶ月は札幌で新作戯曲を書きます。ドイツ語で書くつもり。僕は日本の作家協会ではなくスイスの作家協会ＡＤＳの会員ですのでたまにはドイツ語で書かないと。登場人物はヘルベチア、ハイジとペーター、トヨタさんとホンダさん、大バーゼルと小バーゼル、６色のＴシャツを着た市議会議員達、死の行進隊。１５０－２００枚、２時間。９月までに書き上げて、スイスに戻り完成させる予定です。
This lady is the mother of Swiss nation. Helvetia. She is actually a heroic figure with shield and spear defending Swiss nation and her people. She is on Swiss coins. In city of Basel, however on the middle of main bridge sits Miss Helvetia very melancholic, sank deeply in her thoughts. She isn’t so sure whether she has done last 150 years was good or bad. “ Helvetia on travel” There is no proud on her face, nor satisfaction she achieved something, she even turns her back to the public. She watches the Rhine River that goes through Germany all way to Rotterdam Netherland. Next 3 months I am going to write a theatre piece with her as main character. Further appears Heidi & Peter, Toyota & Honda-2 cross dressed Japanese tourists, Klein Basel und Gross Basel, City council members in 6 coloured T shirts. Around 150-200 pages (2 Hours Playing time) 3 scenes. Last work “Utahime” I wrote in Japanese, this time I work in German. I will work nest 3 months in Sapporo, and then come home to Switzerland in September and complete this.
