Still struggling with my new theatre play script "Helvetia" .
Last several day I was just writing and writing, noticed that in German language I don't get really fun with.
I therefor decided to write in Japanese first and the next day I translate into German. Well, some might think the translated sentences are not as good as the originals, but there is some kind of goodies in well chewed and digested words. Words are words. The situation makes it. Beside I can do both language almost equal, but somehow writing in Japanese the speed will be added. I love this "Speed" when I write something. In German I tend to write heavy. One example from my script of what I mean:
Honda
2 Pilze im Wald eine sagte
„Hallo Nachbar!“
Toyota
Der andere;
„Halts Maul, Pilze können nicht reden!“
This is so called a Negative Joke which doesn't have any points.
If I translate this in Japanese:
ホンダ
森のきのこが
「こんにちは、お隣さん！」
トヨタ
もう一本が
「しーっ、きのこは話せないんだぞ！」
In English.
A mushroom in the forest says "Hello my dear!"
Another mushroom says"Hey we can't speak!"
Maybe German is just a heavy language.
I write in Japanese and then the primely language on this piece will be in German. But...what a waste of time!
