It's feeling grateful and expressing it. And the good
thing here, there's nothing in the way of doing it. All you have to do is
remember to do it. You know, forgiveness also has great power, but that's
tricky. There's a whole lot in the way of being forgiving. But there's nothing in
the way of expressing gratitude. There's a simple exercise from positive
psychology called keeping a gratitude journal. You get a little notebook, keep
it by your bed; during the day, make mental notes of things you have to be
grateful for, jot them down when you go to bed. 

かつて市民大学の講師のひとりとしてアメリカから来ていただいたことのある著名なアンドルーワイル博士のインタビュー記事をNPRで聴く（そして、読む）ことができました。

当時は博士の本を夢中になって読んだものですが、現在、Spontaneous Happiness という題の本を執筆中だとのこと。

体が治っていくプロセスをspontaneous healing 自然治癒力として、その力を最大限に発揮させるために必要なダイエット（食事）、エクササイズ、そしてとても重要な気の持ち方（mental condition）について非常にこと細かに持論を展開しています。

米国には１０人にひとりが抗うつ剤を飲んでいるらしい。中にはそれが原因で自殺するひともいるとのこと。日本も決して例外ではないと思います。ワイル博士は、そのような症状に悩まされたときにとるべきいくつかの療法について提案しています。

私自身もまだこの本を読んだわけではないので詳細は知りませんが、以前の博士の本にも段階的なダイエットやエクササイズを実行することを提案する箇所がありましたので、おおよそ見当がつくのと、このインタビュー記事にも“さわり”がふれられていました。

冒頭に抜粋した英文もその一部です。何気ないことですが、末期がんに冒された人が、一日一日の生に感謝し、ただひたすら朝日を拝んで感謝し続けるうちに、癌が自然治癒した例を博士の本は紹介してくれています。

石垣島に滞在中、講演の前後にウタキなどの聖地に興味を示され、この島は非常に強い（聖なる）気を発しています、ともおっしゃっていました。

工事はひと休み

今日は日曜日。ひさびさに気持ちよく晴れた良い日でした。

ウィークデイはぐずついて時折雨の降るはっきりしない天気でしたが・・・

普段は工事の業者さん達がいてなかなか中に入りづらいこともあり、今日は現場の見学にでかけました。

１階の店舗の現場では、日曜なのに業者の方が仕事をしていました。この写真は店舗のカウンターが取り付けられるところ。厚さ６センチの板をこの間選んだばかりです。

これは、店舗のフロア側から厨房のほうを見たところ。左右に入り口があって裏が厨房になっています。

将来テーブルと椅子がならぶはずのフロア。窓が２箇所についています。

お店のファサード部を撮ったところ。たちあげたコンクリート壁にはお店の看板や照明が取り付けられる予定です。

ここは、店舗の中で食品や野菜などの商品を陳列して販売しようと考えているところ。これから棚がつくられます。

最後に、外のはしごを伝って作業中の３Fに上がってみました。将来私達家族の住まいになる３階の工事が着々と進められていました。予定では上棟式は今月末。天気がきになりますが、これから日々出来上がっていくことでしょう。

Yu has started a new life in the new school

今日(12/1)から悠の保育園が変わります。4月から緑ヶ丘に通っていたけれど、今日からは大川にある園に転園です。

2歳だった去年以来3回目の園ということになります。前回同様慣れてきた矢先でもあり少し気の毒ですが、逆にいいこともきっとあると思います。

This is the third school for him since last year. We both are sorry for him to change school so often, but on the other hand we believe that it will give him more chance to have access to a new world.

The new school is operated by a christian organization so they sometimes have programs related to christianity.

That reminds me of my old days at a public nursery school run by other organization.

Nagura Anparu in Ishigaki Island

Nagura Anparu (名蔵アンパル) is located in the western part of Ishigaki Island passing Kannonzaki (観音崎) and before reaching Nagura Bay (名蔵湾)

The place is famous for the beauty of its nature, and especially not only for the great view but also for the abundance of creatures.

It is only 15 minutes from downtown to Anparu by car and one of destinations you can enjoy walking by the beach and cozy ocean breeze.

You can drive down from the main road to the open space just under the Nagura Big Bridge (名蔵大橋) and enjoy fishing, doing a BBQ, and other form of recreations.

2Fのスラブ打ちが終了ーいよいよ来月棟上げへ

先日(11/25)那覇へ出張中に2Fのスラブ打ちが行われました。工程はすべて順調だったようです。

少し様子を見に来ましたが、残念ながら2階には登れず確認はできませんでした。

代わりに一階の内部に入り込んで撮った写真が以下の写真です。

中に入ると壁や開口部の位置、梁の位置や柱の大きさも確認でき、店舗インテリアや飾り付けのイメージがだんだん膨らんできました(^-^)
