Hey guys! It is Aiko Hemingway with Schwagirl. I am an American English pronunciation coach based in Hawaii. I myself had a hard time in the US because of my very THICK Japanese accent (I came to the US after became an adult!), and I am coaching Japanese clients who are in the US working in an English environment based on my own experience and skills that I gained over time through my linguistics research at UCLA. My working style is a laptop working style, meaning I can work from anywhere and at anytime. All I need is my laptop and internet. I have been working on changing my lifestyle past 6 years. I am currently doing only what I am really passionate about and making enough money to live with. From that experience, I am doing business coaching to guide people to have a life that they desire. I did it, so you can do it, too!

I just released Episode 21 of my podcast "The Voice of English Season 2"!
I interviewed Ayumi from English ASE. The episode link is here:

Ayumi Tachikawa: Born in Japan and immigrated to the U.S. at the age of five with her family. At the age of seven, she moved to San Diego, California and attended both American high school and Japanese school on Saturdays, while playing competitive piano. In 2016, she received a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (World Politics and Diplomacy concentration) and Japanese minor. During her junior year of college, she studied abroad in Switzerland for a year. After graduation, she moved back to San Diego, where she worked at Feeding San Diego, Club Z Tutoring, and and eventually landed her managerial position at Catholic Charities. She has been tutoring and mentoring students of varying ages for more than seven years helping to improve their English reading and writing skills and in turn giving them more confidence in both their academic and personal lives. Her mission is to empower students with a Japanese background to feel confident in themselves by helping them improve their English and gain life-long study skills to succeed in college and career.

- Reach out and ask for help
- You are the one who takes action
- Look after yourself
- Your little wins are important to achieve your big goal
- In English writing, conclude and give your opinion first and give reasons
Enjoy the episode!
Have a nice day
Mahalo
