百合の香の 毒々しくも 匂ひきて 夏の暑きを 想ひ遣られり

昨日都内昼どき歩けば暑し
空は晴れて真夏のごとし
ビル前木陰のテラスにはあまた人の憩ふ
小さき植込の百合は毒々しくも強き香を放ちて夏の暑きを想はす
It was hot when I walked around Tokyo yesterday afternoon.
The sky was clear and it felt like midsummer.
Many people were relaxing on the shady terrace in front of a building.
The poisonous color of the lily in a small planting is giving off a strong fragrance that evokes hot summer.
