洋蘭の 若き花芽は 春を待つ 冷たき雨に 耐へて待つ

昨日あさ都内では夜来の雪は止めど冷たき雨の微かながら降り続きたり
昼どき傘を差すや差さずや迷ひつつ散歩す
細き路地に置かれし鉢植の洋蘭にはや花芽あり
冷たき雨に耐へて紅き花芽の色は益々鮮やかなりけり
Yesterday morning the snow stopped overnight in Tokyo, but a light drizzle of cold rain continued to fall.
I took a walk at noon, wondering whether or not to put up an umbrella.
Flower buds had already sprang on the potted orchid plant placed in the narrow alley.
Withholding the cold rain, the red flower buds were becoming even more vivid.
