年越へて なほ咲き続く 杜鵑(ホトトギス) 寒風に耐え 今を生きたり

花には咲くべき時あり
なれど咲くべき時を過ぎてなお咲く花あり
先日都内にいまだ咲きたる杜鵑あり
花も人も咲くや散るや生きるや死すや己れの力の及ぶ処に非ずしてただ今を生きるのみ
Flowers have the time of blooming.

The other day, the "Hototogisu" (Japanese toadlily) was still blooming in Tokyo.
Whether flowers and people bloom or fall, live or die is beyond our control, so we just have to live in this moment to the fullest.
