寒々と 曇れる空に 幣辛夷(シデコブシ) 花芽出(い)だして ただ春を待つ
令和五年十ニ月二十日
昨日朝駅に向かへば空は曇れり
独り人影無き路を行けば傍らの幣辛夷に早も花芽あり
草木は四季の移ろひに魁(さきがけ)たり
寒き冬に耐えてこそ春は来たる
Yesterday morning I headed to the station under the dark sky.
As I was walking alone down the deserted path, I noticed that the flower buds were already appearing on the star magnolia tree roadside.
Plants and trees are ahead of the changing seasons.
Spring comes only after enduring a cold winter.
