山茱萸(サンシュユ)の 実は赤々と 鈴なりに 冬の足音 近づきにけり

暑き夏去りたると思へばはや冬の近づく
先日訪ひたる広き公園の片隅に山茱萸の木二三本あり
葉はすでに萎れ落ちなんとすれど赤き実はいまだ鈴なりなり
秋は瞬く間にしてはや冬の近づく
After the hot summer, winter has been quickly approaching.

The leaves were already wilting and about to fall, but there were still many red berries.
Autumn is so short that winter is almost here.
