土佐水木(トサミズキ) 黄色き花の 咲き初めて 春来るらし 鄙(ひな)の路にも

先日常の路を通りて朝駅に向かへば空は晴れて申し分なし
時の巡りて春来たれば花咲くは常に変はらぬ世の習ひ
長き厳しき冬も春来るを拒む能はず
路の端土佐水木の花咲き初めて鄙にも春の来たるらし
The other morning, "Tosa Mizuki" (Corylopsis spicata) was beginning to bloom on the side of the road to the station.
It is a natural rule that the seasons change and the flowers bloom when spring comes.
Even the long and harsh winter can never refuse the arrival of spring.
I guess that spring has come because of a few little flowers beginning to bloom on the roads in the countryside.
