The only cold weather round of the PETRONAS FIM Asian Grand Prix took place last weekend of 12 to 14 December at Zhuhai international Circuit. By the end of Sunday, the coveted champion titles for both the SuperSports 600c and Underbone 115cc categories were safe in the hands of their recipients. Below is the review for some of the prominent riders of the final leg.

Toshiyuki Hamaguchi, Team United Akeno Speed

Overall Standing: First (173 points)

The weekend did not start off so well for Hamaguchi. In Qualifying 1, he only managed seventh fastest with 1:41.104s. The second qualifying session was an improvement as he lapped in second fastest behind teammate, Makoto Inagaki and was able to start second on grid. Luck was definitely not on his side as he fell early on in lap 2 while he was in third place. He was down all the way to 22nd place, climbing steadily upward every lap. By lap 9, he was stagnant at 14th place for the next 6 laps and finished Race 1 in 10th place, collecting a mere 7 points. He completely turned the table around in Race 2 by leading the pack. His only challenger was Decha Kraisart and it was an intense one-on-one which saw Hamaguchi emerging triumphant by being the first to cross the finishing line. Shedding tears after the race, the Japanese ace laid claim to his sixth SuperSports 600cc title.

週末、浜口のスタートは順調ではありませんでした。

　予選１では7番手、タイムは 1:41.104s。

　予選２では巻き返しを図り、予選1位のチームメイト‘稲垣　誠’の後ろ、2番手に位置しました。

　レース1序盤　3番手を位置していましたが、2週目で転倒、運は確実に浜口の側にはありませんでした。即座に、彼は22番手まで落ちましたが、周回ごとに着実に抜き上げ9週目までには14番手にのぼり上げ、結果10位でレース1を終えました。わずか7ポイント獲得。

レース2、彼は運を導き、完全に流れを変えました。
彼の唯一の挑戦者がDecha Kraisartでした。そして、その戦いは一対一の激しい戦いでしたが、浜口が勝利を収め、ゴールを決めました。

レース後、涙を流した　日本のエースは、6度目のSuperSports 600cc titleを手にしました。
