I recently used a Free Floating System snare drum from Masters Custom Maple in a recording studio. However, it did not feel like a core sound that was different from the bass. I understand why all current Freefloaters use master cast hoops. I plan to use a die-cast hoop only for this free-floating snare drum. The snare drum of current short scale snare wire does not have a snare guard. I think Pearl Drums hardware and parts must be sexy. I can not be sure it is made in Japan, but I will remodel this die cast hoop more sexy. Using a grinder and a 5mm drill, remove the rivet for attaching the snare guard. The corners of the hoop are so sharp that they are chamfered and finished. #pearldrums #pearl_drums
