台風
がきたかと思ったら
地震が起こってしまいましたね
アメリカ人の友達にこう言われた事があります。
I don't want to live in Japan because there's a lot of natural disasters.
(日本って自然災害が多いから住みたくないな～）
Typhoon earthquake, volcano eruptions and tsunami,...
(台風、地震、火山噴火に津波・・・）
って
確かに自然災害は多いですけど
そんな風にいわなくても
I heard it is possible to have earthquake in NY too!!
(ＮＹだって地震が起きる可能性はあるっていうし）
In NY most of the buildings are old and receives very little repairs.
(ほとんどのビルは古くて修理もあんまりしてないし）
I think if it does happen it, lots of people probably will get killed or injured.
(もし起こったら沢山の死傷者がでると思う。）
We have many earthquake proof apartments and buildings.
(日本には耐震のマンションやビルが多くあるし。）
I think Japan is reasonably prepared for natural disasters.
(自然災害に対しての準備はできてると思うよ。）
と 言い返してやりましたが
全部が全部、耐震のビルではないし、
実際に地震が来たら
どうなることか
今回も沢山の家が崩壊しましたね
それよりもその後のことのほう大変ですね。
