Expressions + -ing
【A】 When these expressions are followed by a verb, the verb ends in -ing:
これらの表現が動詞によって従われる（続く）時、動詞の語尾はingです。
It's no use/It's no good....
それは使いません（使えない・無駄）。よくありません（駄目・役に立たない）。
□ There's nothing you can do about the situation, so it's no use worrying about it.
あなたはその状況についてできる事は何もない。だからそれについて心配しても無駄です。
□ It's no goog trying to persuade me. You won't succeed.
私を説得を試みても駄目。あなたは（私の説得に）成功しないだろう。
These's no point in....
□ There's no point in having a car if you never use it.
車を所有しても無意味です。もしあなたがそれを使わなければ。
□ There was no point in waiting any longer, so we left.
もはや（これ以上）まっても意味がないので、私たちは去った。
But we useally say 'the point of doing something'.:
しかし大抵私たちは 'the point of doing something'と言います。
□ What's the point of having a car if you never use it?
車を所有することは無意味な事です。もしあなたがそれを使わなければ。
【B】 It's (not) worth.......
価値がある
□ I live only a short walk from here, so it's not worth taking a taxi.
私はここから歩いてすぐの所に住んでいます。だからタクシーを使用するは価値がありません。
□ Our flight was very early in the morning, so it wasn't worth going to bed.
私たちのフライトは朝とても早かった。だからベットへ行く価値はなかった。
You can say that a film is worth seeing, a book is worth reading etc:
あなたは、映画を見る価値がある、本を読む価値があると言う事ができます。
□ What was the film like? Was it worth seeing?
映画はどの様なものでしたか。見る価値はありましたか。
□ Thieves broke into the house, but didn't take anything. There was nothing worth stealing.
泥棒は家に不法侵入した。しかし何もとらなかった。盗む価値のあるものはありませんでした。
【C】 Have trouble -ing, have difficultly -ing etc.
～するのに苦労する、～するのが苦しい（抵抗がある）
Have trouble/difficulty/a problem doing something:
何かするのに苦労する/苦しい/問題がある
□ I had no trobble finding a prace to stay.(not trouble to find)
私は滞在する場所を見つけるのに苦労はなかった。
□ Did you have any difficulty getting a visa?
あなたはビザを取得するのに何か抵抗が（苦労）がありましたか。
□ People sometimes have problems reading my writing.
人々は時々私の文字を読むのに問題がある。
【D】 Spend time/waste time/be busy
時間を費やす/時間をつぶす、時間を浪費する（手間を取らせる）/忙しい
Spend/waste (time) doing something:
何かするのに（時間を）費やす/手間を取らせる/忙しい
□ He spent hours trying to repair the clok.
彼は時計の修理するのに時間をついやした。
□ I waste a lot of time doing nothing.
私は何もすることなく多くの時間を浪費した。
(be) busy doing something:
何かするのに忙しい
□ She said she couldn't see me. She was too busy doing other things.
彼女は私を見ることができないと言った。 彼女は他の事をするのがとても忙しかった。
【D】 Go swimming/go fishing etc.
泳ぎに行く/釣りに行く
We use go -ing for a number of activities(especially sports).
私はいくつかの活動（特別なスポーツ）に'go -ing'を使います。
For example, you can say:

go sailing go swimming go fishing go skiing
go camping go surfing go scuba diving go joggin
go fideing go hiking go sightseeing go shopping
□ How often do you go swimming?
どのくらいの頻度で泳ぎにいきますか。
□ I'd like to go skiing.

□ When was the last time you went shopping?
最後に買い物に行ったのはいつですか。
□ I've never been sailing.
私はセイリングに行ったことがない。
