I think that the girl in the picture looks a bit like Momiji from Ninja Gaiden - Dragon Sword, lol. The only real contradicting thing is that the pony tail is a bit too high in the magazine pic.
Ninja Gaiden - Dragon SwordのMomijiに似ている。ただ、ポニーテールの位置がちょっと高いな。

Actually I think she looks more like Franziska. She has the same blue eyes and the bangs. MAYBE SHE'S FRANZISKA'S OLDER SISTER. Which would make tons of sense since Miles was a part of the family for fifteen years and we've never seen her yet, despite having proof of her existence. ...looks like she left the 'fam to join the occult or something tho : | maybe she's a Fey Wannabe.

She must be a gypsy. I think after spirit mediums and magicians, the only logical choice next is a gypsy.

Given the lack of female antagonists (Franziska excluded), I wouldn't be surprised if she turns out to be the game's true villain. I'm betting on the eventual-betrayal method; that she starts out as a good guy, slowly starts hindering Edgeworth and is eventually revealed near the end. She just looks like that kind of character to me.
Franziska（冥）以外に女性ライバルキャラが不足しているから、彼女が悪役であっても驚かないでしょう。最後に裏切ることに賭けています。彼女は最初良い人で、ゆっくりとEdgeworthを邪魔しはじめ、最後の最後で明らかになるような。そんな感じに見えます。

ライバルキャラという予想もたくさんありますね。
Obviously she's a samurai... or a ninja... because we all know Edgey needs a gimmicky sidekick besides Gumshoe.

Also, I doubt she's Franny's older sister either. She honestly doesn't look like the type to have a seven year old daughter. Granted, I could be mistaken, but she seems too young.
