The GSC offices are on the 2nd floor, but all the sculptors work up in the production department on the 6th floor.
There are a lot of brave people who actually walk all the way up to the 6th floor each time... but I just use the elevator. ^^
... but anyway, I did manage to secure a figure to play with!
So let's take the elevator back down to the 2nd floor and take a look!
Today we'll be playing with this little angel!
1/8 Scale Tenshi-chan!
The second in a series following on from Yurippe !
Tenshi is the student council president at the school for the dead in the anime "Angel Beats!, and now she's here as this beautiful 1/8th scale figure!
This is how she looks from the back!
As you can see, she comes with a gorgeous pair of wings!
You just can't have a figure of Tenshi without the wings! You can tell by the size of the monitor in the background that they are nice and big as well!
Tenshi-chan is such an angel!

Nope! this is an image of the 3DCG Data used to make the figure!
To be able to preview the figure using a computer like this... the modern age really is incredible...
I know I've already seen it with Yurippe, but it's still so amazing to see...

It looks so realistic that I feel like I should be able to touch it!
Tenshi-san was also made with help from the 3D production team Sanjigen !
They really are showing what great quality they can make! Great work Sanjigen!!!
The data you see above is sent directly to a 3D printer to be changed into the actual figure. For those of you worried that the sculptor's will all lose their jobs - but that isn't the case at all!

The figure is made up using the 3DCG data, but the final adjustments are careful balance of the figure still needs the experienced hands of a sculptor!
Using modern techniques along with the well-established techniques of the past together allows the best quality figures to be made in a much shorter amount of time!
The wings make use of a clear plastic!
Her wings are also completely symmetrical!
That would have been incredibly difficult to do without 3DCG, but using the 3DCG makes symmetry much easier!
The ribbon and cuffs of her uniform!
As always the smallest of details are all visible on the figure! Even her uniform is full of little details to enjoy!
The wings can be removed!
You can choose however you'd prefer to display your Tenshi-chan! You could even leave the wings down by her feet like this for a rather unique feeling!
Here she is together with Yurippe!
They really look good together! If you grab them both it's definitely a good idea to display them together like this!
