I would like to write about the Olympic Games having adopted commercialism this time. The first convention that adopted this commercialism is Los Angeles Olympics held in 1984. The Los Angeles convention in 1984 was an epoch-making convention.
The Olympic Games were show-business. The black figures of 215 million dollars were added up as a result. The charge of a sponsor was lifted by extracting a sponsor to "1 One company of types of industry." Moreover, the surplus was attained by collecting participation fees also from an Olympic-Torch relay runner etc. The plan was made in order that the head of the convention committee may collect participation fees from an average citizen's bearer of the flame. Therefore, it had left the serious damage by the deficit continuation. Host city candidacy of 1984 annual conferences was only Los Angeles. Olympics holding were unpopular. Thus, finally this convention completed and was successful in an about 40 billion yen surplus. The total amount was contributed for American youth's promotion, and a sport.
Furthermore, in this convention, Eastern World caused the boycott. For the reason for protesting against the invasion of Afghanistan of the Soviet Union at Moscow Olympics in 1980, the United States appealed for the boycott to Western countries. Much Western countries, such as Japan, West Germany, South Korea, did not participate as a result. Eastern World boycotted this convention as that retaliation. Not participating countries have the Soviet Union, East Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Mongolian, North Korea, Cuba, Afghanistan, Angora, Iran, etc. After China and the Soviet Union confrontation, the relation with the Soviet Union got worse and it attached the People's Republic of China to the United States side. Therefore, nonparticipation of Moscow Olympics was carried out.
