High Line.

There are a lot of parks in New York.

On the maps of Manhattan, the parks, from the Central Park,

show green color easily.

I think that placing green in the city is one of the requirements

to construct an artistic city.

Regarding this point, New York is the artistic city, isn't it?

A few days ago, I went to the High Line that is abandoned continuous

elevated rail structure. The High Line has been renovated as a park.

It was completed probably half of whole distance.

I'm looking forward to completing whole distance.

今から７５年も前に完成した“Ｈｉｇｈ　Ｌｉｎｅ”高架鉄道。

1980年に廃線になってから放置されていた線路がこうして形を変えて現代のニーズに

マッチしている。

日本でもＲｅｎｏｖａｔｉｏｎブームで最近耳にすることが多くなりましたが、まだまだ小規模な建築物

に限られているような気がします。

壊して建てる新しい建築ではなく、再生する新しい建築...

大学の時に参加した「木匠塾」を思い出すような風景。

学生だからこそできた発想。。。今思えば、限りなく実践に近い事をやってたような。

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week SPRING2010

A big tent was built on the grass in the Bryant Park last week.

A lot of fashon brands participate in this event, and various shows

are held in the tent.

I wanted to see one of these shows. but the ticket was too expensive

and most tickets were sold out. I hope to see this show next chance.

This week, we can see a lot of fashionable dressers who look like

stylists, models, designers, and etc everywhere in New York.

I might see one of the celebrities. Even though I had seen someone

like that, I think I did not recognize the fact...

そう今日は９．１１ memorial day...

朝、学校に行く用意をしている間に９．１１の報道番組を見ていました。

現地時間ではまさに通勤ラッシュの時間。

１機目・・・８：４６　a.m.

２機目・・・９：０５　a.m.

何回見ても背筋が凍りつくような事件です。

決して繰り返してはならない過ちです。
